A good site with excellent communication from Richard. Sat nav brought us in from the south, so we went just up the road and turned around at the junction with the A414. Or go up to the roundabout at Stone Chair, no distance.
We were impressed with the recycling, different coloured bins for different items.
Folk mention the great views, but I have to say we have seen better. Extensive to the east, but nothing exceptional. Can't see to the west from the site.
Lots of local walks, but the mud defeated us. Go to Shibden Hall which is great and worth the money. Cromwell Bottom nature reserve is ok and a hard track.
Several shops, including fish and chips, at Northowram. Take the road from Halifax to there for a great view.

We are regular visitors to Plane Trees as my Mum lives nearby and we live in Plymouth. The facilities are kept immaculate and include grey waste, chemical waste, a toilet and rubbish/ recycling point.
Each pitch has its own water tap and EHU Also each pitch has flagstones for level parking. Genius!
The site is in glorious Yorkshire with amazing views and very easily accessible to Motorway.
I have to say Richard and Barbara are simply wonderful and the friendliest of site owners. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them.
We visited earlier in the year but sadly we broke down and had to be recovered to the site. We arrived very late and Richard had been most helpful even staying up late to make sure we were okay. He also let all the other guests know we would be arriving late and they were all very understanding.
Richard found us a local mechanic who got us back on the road. We could not have been more thankful for all of Richard and Barbaras help.
We look forward to our forthcoming visit.

What a fabulous site. The veiws, the staff, the facilities. The animals. Simply wonderful.
The site. You have to ring before arriving so that Richard can guide you in the entry is a little narrow. Then he let's you select your pitch. Evch has EHU, water and drains. They also have 2 flags that you put you wheels on the level your unit (awesome). The single toilet is kept immaculate. As is the recycling area.
The staff. Omg the friendliest people you could wish to meet. We talked forever. ❤️ They are probably the nicest site owners we have every met.
They is a bus stop and pubs within 10 minutes of the site. We use the bus to visit Halifax for the day. They is a petrol station near by for bread and milk.

Sooooo helpful! We got delayed on the M62: a 28 mile journey took 3 hrs 20 mins! They could not have been more helpful. We were told of a great alternative route and with several calls, we arrived safely.
As we were so late, they helped us in trying to find somewhere to eat, (lots here closed on a Monday evening) and when they finally us found the only place open near here, (the chippie) we raced off as they were closing in 10 mins. When we arrived we were really touched as they'd phoned ahead for us to ensure we had something to eat.
We have a wider than average caravam and Richard expertly guided us in and out.

My first visit with my motorhome to Plane Trees farm, which exceeded my expectation. I was extremely nervous as this was my first trip learning how to set up my motorhome. I was guided all the way by Richard and Barbara. , which made me feel very much at ease which lead to a very relaxed and enjoyable stay. I look forward to returning soon.

What an amazing little find. Perfect peace and quiet. The owners are the most helpful hosts and go above and beyond to make your stay top class. This will be a site I continue to visit when ever I'm in the Halifax area. Really recommend a visit especially if you like nice views.

Amazing site, been twice now as it’s near to where we bought our caravan and we’ve just been back for service and warranty work. The site is very well kept and the pitches are very generous, each pitch has its own water, grey waste and hook up box and has two flag stones for your tyres which are level side to side. The toilet is immaculate and the views are lovely.
The entrance to the site is a little tight between two walls just in one place, so it’s important you speak to the owners to make sure someone is there to guide you in when you arrive. The owners Richard and Barbara are very helpful and friendly, waiting up for our late arrival and up again for our early departure (taking caravan for service) felt all part of the service and they were great with our ‘very confident’ seven year old! There is lots to do locally with Eureka and Shibden park nearby for families and much more besides.
The site entrance can only be taken in one direction with a caravan, our advice is to plan your route to the site making sure you approach down hill from the junction with the A644, there is a roundabout near the vw dealers just up the hill if you do find yourself approaching from the wrong direction.
We think it’s a great place to spend a short break or longer if your accommodation has good onboard facilities.

The owners very kindly allowed us to stay out of the usual opening dates. My Mother who we usually stay with was recovering from an operation and it was my brothers memoriam which we really wanted to attend. We live in the South West so it wasn't a case of come for the day.
The owners were extremely accommodating and nothing was too much for them. They lent us a map for local walks and also gave us information on local eateries.
The toilet facility was immaculate and the campsite itself was very well kept. We will most certainly be in contact in the future for further stays at this fabulous site.
