This is a simple campsite with nice views of the surrounding countryside. It is a peaceful farming area with no road noise.
There's a good size field with no marked out pitches or hard standing but the 6 EHU sockets are mounted on one post so you are limited by the length of your electric lead as to where you can pitch but plenty of room. There were tents and vans staying, no seasonals or statics.
Although you're in a quiet, rural location it's only a few minutes drive to a pub and a tearoom. It's not far to historic Ledbury with all its shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs. There are walks you can do direct from the campsite.
The facilities are in some dated porta-cabins which could do with a freshen up. There's 4 WC's and sinks for each gender but strangely only one shower for the whole site. It's all acceptable but there didn't seem to be any daily cleaning going on so dirt and loose grass built up on the loo/shower room floors, toilet roll ran out and the bins filled up. So, if you want high cleaning and maintenance standards and a hands on manager/warden then this may not be the place for you.
It has been closed for a couple of years so perhaps the owners are still getting things back up to its best. Currently needs better maintenance, tourist info etc. Despite this we would recommend as it's a nice spot.

Please note that as of 2019 this campsite has now reopened, following a two year break. It once again offers pitches for touring caravans, motorhomes and tents. It is no longer a club site, so you do not need to be a member to stay here now.

Stayed here for 9 nights in July and really loved it. Lovely countryside and very peaceful site, but with easy access to Ledbury, Hereford and the Malverns etc. Unfortunately the pub down the road closed the weekend before we arrived, but The Trumpet and Ledbury are only 10 -15 minutes away by car. Great to have showers/toilets on a small site, and a really friendly, helpful owner. Highly recommended.

This is a lovely site, very quiet lovely views and very helpful owners as we had some very heavy rain and got a little stuck! But it was no problem to the owner who got his tractor and we were soon sorted. Very level pitch so did not take long to get the caravan level. There is a very nice walk which takes round in a circle going through some woods a very sweet village and if you go right and down the road a little a good pub which serves food and a very nice pint or you turn left which will bring back to the campsite. As I said it was very quiet apart from a few sheep but after all it is a working farm so what do you expect we will be going back as its quite local to us hopefully the weather will be better the field was quick to dry out so hopefully we won't get stuck but the tractor is always kept ready to help out if we do. The toilets and shower were clean and tidy and being a small site were not far away from the caravan.

We have just had a lovely weekend staying at this campsite. Five of us met here for our annual cycling weekend.
Grant was very welcoming and helpful. He also arranged a booking for us with the local pub, The Hopton Arms, to eat on Saturday evening. The food was great for hungry cyclists, including 2 veggies, and the service was friendly and efficient.
The site is flat and well drained with cut grass and the toilet facilities were clean and tidy. There is only one shower but there is plenty of space for changing. The site is in a lovely peaceful position.
This was an ideal area to cycle with lots of quiet lanes. The Hop Pocket Market is also a good place for tea and cake as you pass that way as well, as for other shopping.

Lovely setting. Grant was attentive he just checked on us in the mornings. He has vast local knowledge. We took 4 children ranging from 4 to 13 and they all enjoyed it. Toilets where clean and fresh. Shower was basic but warm. We where part of a group of 25 with a mixture of adults and children. There was enough room for every one. Including a games area for the kids. We visited Ledbury and the British camp/malvern hills. Everyone wants to go again when it's a bit warmer

We booked at the last minute and I'm so glad that we did. Myself and my partner and our two children (2 and 18) went along as I was working in Hereford and it was too far for us to do in one day. The site is a lovely old farm with a large, even field for tents, campervans and caravans. The grass was nice and short and the toilets and shower (unisex, only one on site)were very clean and well stocked with loo roll and even shower gel!
Christine met us and was really friendly and we were delighted at the low rates! It's about 10 miles from Hereford and there you'll find all the usual shops and pubs/takeaways. There's a garage with shop about 5 mins drive from the site.
Peaceful and well maintained, there's a small ditch at the outer edge if you're taking small children, just be aware but it wasn't a problem. Would highly recommend the site.

On arriving at this idyllic site we parked on the lovely flat area near the electric hook up. After a quick set up we met the lovely owner Grant who couldn't have been more welcoming and friendlier. We then were able to settle down and look at the beautiful view.
This site is peaceful and the toilet block is an excellent standard. There are no showers but with the 2 drinking water taps servicing the small site there is no problem having a shower in the van.
There is a dog walk across farm fields straight from the site and it is well signposted, being farm fields there were a few stingers so wear trousers when traipsing around.
The only noise to be heard is the gentle bleating of the local flock of sheep.
We had a lovely weekend on this site and look forward to our next visit.
Open April to October weather dependant.
Pub with food (The Trumpet - menu's where available in the toilet block) close by.
We didn't venture out as it was so peaceful and we just relaxed on the site. On the way home we passed some towns that weren't very far away.
Fantastic value for money.
It is set far back from any roads so for us with children and dogs it was the perfect camp site setting.

I stayed for one night on this new site 4/6/12 and what a peaceful lovely place.
This is a basic site that has EHU and a toilet block with hot water, as yet there are no showers.
The owners Grant & Caroline could not be more helpful and there is plenty of room for Motorhomes tents etc.
Ledbury is about 6 miles away with a Tesco Co-op & other shops, the nearest pub is The Trumpet Arms which has very good locally sourced food and good real ales.
If you want a quiet peaceful site with lovely views and surroundings this cannot be beaten.
