Loved the views, friendliness, nature and fabulous walks.

It was remote - need a car.

Road noise was loud on our first night but windy direction must have changed as by the next morning it was just a distant hum.

Facilities spotless.

Would definitely go again.

The site had beautiful views all round and loads of space to pitch ( assuming everyone else is mindful of your space)

The facilities were spotless and the fridge/freezer and phone charging was a nice touch.

Nigel was very helpful and happy to offer advice on the surrounding area.

We weren’t staying in the top field but this could have been noisy if your sensitive to road noise but the other field was fine.

We were there in dry weather and it looks like gravel was laid in case of rain but this could be a problem if rain was persistent.

Clean site, large space for tent with picnic table most pitch areas have this, friendly non-intrusive helpful hosts,

Clean toilets and shower with warm water, can possibly charge phones is 2 plugs for this at small toilet,

Close feeling to wild camping, firepits allowed bring you're own.

I'd visit this site again we had a nice time.

Thoughts for improvments

Thinking trust shop/ shed/ vending machine for basics milk / bread as you have to drive to get this, nothing really in local walking distance.

Maybe a swing and slide for kids

Had a really pleasant stay here; nice campsite, with a good amount of space. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating for our last-minute booking. Perfectly affordable, and well located for a short drive to Lyme Regis. We had a nice fire with good firewood available from the farmhouse.

Ground was nice, soft and free from rubble, so had no problem driving in pegs! Toilets and shower were clean and a lot less grim than they can be in some places!

We stayed here for 10 days. The field is gently sloping with a mown edge and longer grass in the middle. There are superb views of the surrounding countryside and at night 'big skies' as there is no light pollution. This campsite feels remote but is only 10 minutes from Charmouth and a little further to Lyme Regis. The site is run by the Chapman family who could not do enough to make us feel welcome. The facilities are limited 2 toilets and 1 shower but are the cleanest we have ever come across. They also limit the number of units that stay so all pitches are very roomy. We met great like minded people who enjoyed more basic camping and our 8 year old made lots of new friends. A great place to stay.
