If only all CL's were like this. Has everything a Club Site has to offer (EHU, Toilets, Showers, large Hardstanding Pitches), with the added bonus of an informal and wonderful host, Anne and her family, where nothing is too much trouble.
This is on top of the excellent bus and rail connections, good walks and cycle rides from the site.
We had chosen this site as part of our tour of Pembrokeshire and Cardigan Bay, and wish we had booked longer.
The site is extremely well looked after and the facilities were spotless.
Even though its a long way for us to come, thankyou Anne, we really hope we can come back.

This is a small but spacious, very well kept site with pretty level hard standing pitches.
Facilities were in a hut with 2 cubicles featuring shower, toilet and wash hand basin, a separate toilet also. These were functional and clean but in need of a spring clean/ face lift.
The washing up area was just 1 sink on the side of the hut, practical and functional. The information room was helpful with bus timetables etc.
The owner we met was friendly and it's clear a lot of hard work must be going in to keep up the high standards of the pitches and surrounding grounds. Great value for money.
Just outside and about 100 yards down the road is a bus stop which was great for regular buses to Saundersfoot and Tenby (other destinations in opposite direction too).
There is also a camping shop just up the hill about 300 yds, very handy when you've forgotten some essential, need to top up something or carry out a simple repair.

Great site, we had struggled to find a site that would fit us in just turning up due to the COVID issue.
We were fitted in on the non-CL member area and what a beautiful site, really clean and tidy, the hosts were the best we have ever come across is over 10 years of camping.
Bruce went out of his way to chat to us and tell us about walking to Saundersfoot (which is a lovely 20 min walk from site to beach!) he and his wife filled us in on the takeaways in the area and also where the pubs were.
Great little find!

Stayed at Hillcroft for the first time, on arrival we were met by Ann, very polite and informative, showed us where our pitch was, it was of a very large size, spotless, included electric hookup, a picnic table, grass, and hedged off, later on spoke to Bruce, again like Ann very polite, the service they provided was second to none, both very friendly and chatty, and made us very welcome, the whole site was excellent, grass cut, roadways clear, toilets and showers excellent site gated at entrance, can only give this site and owners 10 out of 10 for sure.
The site is very well placed for Wisemans bridge, Amroth, Saundersfoot, all walkable, and great for Tenby and surrounding Pembrokeshire, looking forward to our next visit to thi CL for sure.

First time to South Wales & Pembrokeshire did not disappoint.
We like small, well kept sites with spacious sunny hard standing pitches, well laid out so this site ticked all the boxes.
We were not disappointed. Very spacious peaceful pitches well positioned on an immaculately kept site. Owners very friendly, helpful & work hard to keep up the high standards.
Good on site dog walk in a paddock to the side of main site.
Good Information hut on site
2 shower rooms with basin & toilet. Plus separate wc all well kept
We were blessed with back to back sunshine & unseasonally warm weather during our week long stay so felt very spoilt & it made for one of our favourite caravanning holidays in the past 4 years since owning a caravan.
Pembrokeshire was absolutely beautiful, with the wonderful warm & sunny weather we explored the area every day & found fantastic walks, beaches & coves to enjoy with our two boxers.
With the help of tripadvisor we ate out daily at wonderful tea rooms, cafes, restaurants & pubs.
One of our many highlights was the Pembrokeshire falconary half day experience - well worth every penny
This site is 5 hrs away from home but will definitely visit again & recommend 100%

Our first visit to Hillcroft and hopefully not our last. The landscaped site is immaculate and nothing is too much trouble for owners Bruce and Ann. All the large caravan pitches are flat hardstanding with electric hook-up and each pitch has nice grass area with picnic table. From the pictures on the website you might think that the toilet/shower block is in a large wooden shed but don't be fooled - inside are two generously sized and nicely appointed shower rooms with toilet and wash basin. In addition there's a separate toilet with hand basin.
There's a single railway line that runs along one side of the site but, since the one-carriage trains only run every couple of hours, this was never a nuisance. Indeed, one day we walked to Kilgetty station and caught the train to Tenby - only £3. 10 day return per person and our dog travelled free. To add to the adventure, Kilgetty station is unmanned so you have to flag the train down to stop!
The circular walk from the site down to Wiseman's Bridge, along to Saundersfoot and the climb back up to Kilgetty, took slightly longer than Bruce had suggested but was perhaps because we lingered longer than necessary on the sunny terrace at Wiseman's Bridge pub - only to admire the fantastic sea views, of course!

Just returned after another brilliant time at Hillcroft.
The weather was very cold, but dry. Whilst the rest of the country was under snow, this area managed to avoid it.
The site has again had money spent on it, with the pitches now levelled (all hard standing with a circular ring-road). It really is immaculately kept !
On this visit, found some lovely walks & cycle tracks. Many thanks to Ann for the information sheet. Bruce and Ann made us feel very welcome.
We look forward to going back sometime soon !

This CL has only 5 pitches, and after many months of trying, we eventually got into this site: but it was well worth the wait ! A positively brilliant site for the Saundersfoot & Tenby area.
Superbly run by Bruce and Ann, this site was 2011 CL Runner-Up of the year, and you can see why it attained that lofty position. The toilets and shower block were immaculate, as were all the other facilities. All pitches were hardstanding, and the grass was well mown, with no sign of boginess, despite some really heavy rain whilst we were there.
There are bus-stops just outside the site to all the surrounding area, and the village of Kilgetty just a brisk 10 minute walk away should you require some goods or the local pub.
A special mention to Bruce and Ann who made us feel very welcome and were just brilliant during our entire stay.
We managed to book again for next year (it really is a very hard site to get onto), and are looking forward to returning.
