Helpful reception although a few words of French will help, a shop that offers enough to save driving into Agde for the Hyper-U, small bar and snack bar/restaurant offering the usual takeaways. Mainly statics there are only 52 spaces for touring and a single (clean, no toilet paper - but it does have hairdryers!) Unisex sanitaire. The top few pitches are a long way from a hook-up but all others are well served (standard plug) and pitches have good shade. They are very tight though and if the guy behind is too far forward you might struggle to manouevre in and out of your pitch between the trees. Sandy ground so bring approptiate pegs and watch for the sand flies and go equipped!
200 yards to the lively main street and the same the other way to a beautiful clean and protected beach (dog friendly).
We liked this site in June but might give it a swerve in high season because it is just a bit too compact for our van conversion with the turning circle of a jumbo - caravanners with motor movers will love it for sure though as their boy's toy proves it was worth every penny!
Heading for the superb beach this was the last site before the sea. You couldn't see the beach but it was only 200m away down the road. A small site compared with others around it.
Staff were friendly and helpful and we stayed a week. Nice swimming pool with sunbeds although we preferred the sandy beach which sloped gently into the Mediterranean.
Toilet blocks were always kept clean and tidy although the site wasn't full in June.
Cost for tent + 2 persons + electricity was under £16 a night up to 30/06/11.
A nice little snackbar for usual campsite fair and a well stocked shop for provisions/bread etc.
Pitches had good shade. A number of mobile homes on site. Vias Plage was touristy but with good selection of bars/restaurants etc. Canal du midi and large fairground within a mile.
