Arrived in august to a wet campsite but on hard standing so not an issue
Very friendly meeting and quick and easy access
Close to toilets and shower also had a pot wash area and drinking water tap! Bins for recycling which is lovely to see!
Lovely field, horses in adjacent field which grandaughter loved,
Lovely walk for the two dogs
£20 a night which we thought was a fair price for all of us with hook up.
Will stay here again sometime when the sun decides to show up!
Great relaxing stay Thank You

Not worth £20 a night. No hot running water in pot wash, which was filthy (I had to wash it before I used it) or bathroom.
Shower tricky to use (have to turn to OFF to get hot water, and switch on at wall - very high up), and the bathroom was not washed once during our stay (bad as we are still in a COVID era) and the hand dryer didn't work.
Absolutely nothing do do either as every footpath in and around the farm and Bretherton was overgrown and completely impassable.
Only stayed here to introduce my great nephew to camping as not far from home - but £20 a night is taking the mick! £10 at best would be reasonable.

We stayed for 2 nights and this is an absolute gem of a site. Wonderfully friendly and helpful staff, fabulous views, great pitches on a level and mown enclosed field and a local pub that serves delicious food. The toilet and shower facilities were modern and very clean, although there is only 1 toilet/shower cubicle, this was not a problem. If you are looking for a quiet secluded get away this is for you. Highly recommended and we will definitely be going again, soon.

This is a small, well kept farm on a working farm. There are 8 pitches and we were the only tent there, all of the other units were caravans. The site is peaceful, set in open country, we weren't disturbed by the farm. There is also 1 static caravan which seems to have a permanent resident in with a couple of friendly dogs.
There is 1 modern unisex toilet and shower room which was always clean and had hot water. As the other units were all caravans there wasn't a queue for the facilities and we seemed to be the only ones using them.
We were disappointed by the pot wash area. It only had a cold tap which meant that you were either boiling a kettle or getting hot water from the bathroom. Also the sink didn't seem to be plumbed in correctly (I'm no plumber) but rather than having a waste pipe attached there was a loose large hopper to catch any waste water from the plug hole, as soon as this took any weight it tipped the contents all over your shoes.
There were also a couple of very well behaved dogs left to wander the site. They never caused any trouble however it was certainly off putting having someone else's Alsatian sat at my feet whilst I ate my tea.
A good campsite that was let down in 1 crucial area.

I visited this site on spec, after travelling past on North Lane, Bretherton many times and seeing the C&CC sign. I am really pleased I did, the camping field is surrounded by open fields on two sides, and, although its an agricultural working farm, I had a relaxing stay thanks to the relaxed attitude of the owners, Andrew and Tammy. The toilet/shower facilities were spot on for a small cs site, and very clean. About a mile away is the Blue Anchor pub, that during the week does all you can eat meals for £4. 99, Sundays is £9. 99 excellent. Its handy for Preston, Leyland and Southport as long as you have transport.
This site was excellent value, especially considering I am usually a grumpy old bloke, that isnt easily pleased.
For people who are looking for a quiet site, and are interested in nature, look no further!

Had a lovely two night stay on this very peaceful site. We were in our tent and our friends were in a motor home. The site was exceptionally clean and we had no complaints. My only suggestions would be to have a separate toilet from the shower room and also to have hot water in the washing up area. These are not complaints, as it would not stop us from visiting again, it would just be slightly better if these changes were introduced. Would recommend if you are looking for a quiet site.
