 We arrived Sunday afternoon and had some problems finding the place but after a phone call and a personal guide we were driven past a golf course and across a field, when I say field I mean field. We were all a little bit apprehensive at this point wondering where we were going to end up, but soon over the brow of the hill we saw the beginnings of a little yurt village. After a quick tour we were given the key to our yurt and walked down this little lane to see where we were going to spend our weeks holiday, WOW, it was better than the photographs and everything was as we were told,
The outside kitchen area was clean tidy and had everything you could possibly need. There were fresh flowers on the pine bench table. Wood had been brought down and carefully stacked for our fire. Then to the yurt, we opened the door to find the most beautifully furnished glamping experience, there was a little log burner, beautifully made beds and a basket with a bottle of wine and welsh cakes, we were so excited for our holiday, the place was so peaceful and cosy.
The compost toilet took a bit of getting used to and I was sceptical about how it was going to work, but after a day or two we all got used to it and it was no issue, the situation of the yurt was so nobody overlooked you and it was so green.
We had problems with water during the week but this was down to the water mains problems and they delivered a big crate of bottled water so it was resolved. Sometimes during the evening you could hear the faint droning noise coming from the local karting place but it shut at 6 so it never went on too long.
The field got very muddy but fortunately we have a 4x4 but I can imagine an issue for normal cars although we were told that a proper drive was going to be constructed shortly. All in all it was the best holiday I've had in this country, I felt like I had been away for a month, something amazing about having a fire outside drinking wine then getting in your cosy yurt with log fire and climbing in a real bed but still feeling like your camping.
I would say this place is brilliant for families and also couple who want to just get away from it all, it had everything really even romance. Would say give it a go!
