 Great location for fabulous walks.

It could be beautiful with a little TLC.

The grass hasn't been mown for a while and although the facilities were clean they again could do with a bit of attention.

There is a pending certification from the Caravan and Motorhome club.

Hardstanding, spacious pitches, at easily accessible site. 2 toilets, 2 showers, + sinks.

Quiet, & in the heart of walking, sightseeing country. Hills within 4 miles, towns within 12 miles.

Very good site.

Needs a little TLC, hot water, plumbing, weeds.

Stayed at this very reasonably priced site for a week and loved it. Very helpful owners, good size hardstanding pitches with individual drainage for waste water. 2 toilets, 2 showers and washing up area always clean and tidy. Plenty of hot water, toilet paper and hand towels. Internet access was not the best but we moved pitches and it was much improved. Lovely views of Wenlock Edge and plenty to do in the area. Church Stretton has some nice shops (a superb deli) and a good size Co-op. Parking meters in Shropshire still mostly seemed to run on old pound coins but most should be changed over by the end of July. Will definitely stay on this site again when next in the area.

We have been staying regularly at Gilberries Hall Farm for six years now. We come as often as we can. A warm and friendly staff for whom no request has ever been refused. A very tidy clean site (and we have never seen it any other way! Don't know why anyone would leave a negative comment!) the shower block is cleaned twice a day, plentiful towels, loo rolls and is always warm.

Bins emptied every day. Grass always freshly mown. A very peaceful site the royal oak pub is a wonderful addition to our stays. We are looking forward to a three week stay in March.

So we can explore Ironbridge, Ludlow, church Stretton and Shrewsbury.

We have had the most amazing 14 night break at this site I cant recommended it enough, such a warm welcome the site owners have become great friends so many additional services available such as breakfast in the dining room, laundry, even small grocery items. The facilities at this site are showers toilets and washing up area with central heating! The facilities are clearly cleaned twice a day with several fresh towels. Hardstanding pitches with electric and drainage are all immaculate mowed and tidy. I can't wait for our next trip to gilberries Hall farm caravan park and bed and breakfast which we have booked for June.

Stayed here two nights. No wifI on campsite untidy site with plastic pieces around. Didn't use there facilities as we use our own so could not comment on them. Access was good from just off the main road. Area was beautiful for walking. Church Stretton was delightful. Would have to say would not visit the campsite again but would stay in the area

Set in Apedale, only ever so slightly outside the Picturesque Shropshire Hills area of outstanding natural beauty, and with views to the woods marking Wenlock Edge, this is a wonderful setting for any leisurely, peaceful holiday.

Leaving the A49 from the middle of Church Stretton the B4371 road to the site rises quickly into the hills, but not so steeply as to be any problem for a decent outfit. The road meanders for some 4-5 miles through the countryside to the site just outside Wall under Heywood. Easy wide road for towing a van.

The site actually has seven pitches, although it is a CL, so if you get there before the fifth van has left you can still get in and set up. It also gives you options for what you want to look at out of the front room window. Hope Bowdler Hill to the west or the Woods above Hope Dale and Wenlock Edge to the south. Tough choice!

Each pitch is hard standing although perhaps a bit more shale on the pitch may have been useful. Drainage can be slow in heavy weather. To the rear of the pitch is the waste water drain so if you have enough of a waste drain pipe you may not need the waste hog. Having said that some pitches would then drain the waste slightly uphill! Three pitches have an incline but not too much to worry about. Take your levelling blocks.

Water and chemical waste only a few steps from each pitch.

Close to the pitches is a toilet block built I would guess within the last ten years so quite new. It has two loos and two showers plus a spare double sink for washing up your pots. This is cleaned twice a day, with the first clean around 6. 30 am ready for the morning campers. Only one towel in the block so take your own. The loos include a sink, light and razor point (didn't try this as I shave in the caravan). The showers have just two hooks for your clothes which isn't enough so take a carier bag with you! Hot, yes and how. They may take a bit of adjustment to get to the temperature you want. For a CL toilet block very good indeed.

When you arrive there is no one to greet you as this is part of a working farm so you just set up and put your money in a box in the toilet block. When I say it is part of a working farm the actual CL looks more like someone's front garden. It has a nice large lawn around which are the seven pitches.

Join English Heritage before you visit the area as there are so many castles around you can spend all your time soaking up the history.

Cardingmill Valley in Church Stretton is a must. A little gem of a valley from where you can walk up on to the hills. If you don't like climbing steeply then just wander up the valley and back and then pop into the National Trust cafe for afternoon tea.

You have to go to Ludlow if only for the food shops. Also, a few minutes drive from the site, Much Wenlock. Nice Deli in the main street. Splendid Abbey but check opening times as they are Wednesday to Sunday. English Heritage again. You should also visit Ironbridge and the Coalbrookdale museum just a few miles from the site through Much Wenlock.

Just to scare the kids, and maybe yourself, try driving up to the Church Stretton gliding club and then on down the other side. Single track road best done in second gear with hands tightly on the steering wheel!

All in all a splendid spot and one we shall certainly visit again.
