We had a lovely stay at this site. Lovely little village with a local auberge, open 12 - 1 midweek. That was good value at around 20 Euros for 3 course set lunch.
Bakers shop/store in the village too. Very basic, but if they don't have things on the shelf, ask, and they will find it. We had to do that with wine for our first dinner!
There is also a larger village a few K away with a lovely bakers, butchers and veg shop. The cafe is English owned, nice people and the coffee was great. So you don't really need to venture far for good food/provisions.
The site put on events, the jazz pop evening with paella was great. The pizza on site is good too. The bar/restaurant is a beautiful building. Portions were a bit too big for us but it was all very good quality.
The toilets were immaculate and plenty of them. Some of the pitches slopped a little, but we levelled our van with standard ramps. Lots of trees for shade.
Our pitch had part shade/part sun all day. Good sized pitched too, ours was probably 3x the size of a UK pitch with hedging. Lots of walking straight from the site. Plenty of walking in surrounding countryside.
Lots of nice places to visit. New owners are lovely and worked hard. The pool was great. Good size and very clean. A fantastic holiday.
Highly recommend this site. Has a new name this year, Le Lieu

Fantastic couple Charlene and Julian now own the site. Charlene speaks good English, and they are very welcoming.
The facilities are very clean and are rustic and Characterful in design.
There is a bar and restaurant and there are wonderful pizzas here.
A quiet countryside site, pitches separated by hedges.
The pretty village is 5 mins away with a Boulanger for breakfast croissant.
This site is now called Le Lieu.

Well equipped central shower block with bright makeup lights.
Wonderful on-site restaurant and bar serving large tasty pizzas.
Very friendly and welcoming English hosts.

Really enjoyed our stay here and would liked to have stayed longer. Quiet setting by a fishing lake and a variety of different sized pitches. Russ (owner) suggested a spot for our large motorhome but were free to choose a pitch if we wished.
Toilet block a little basic but perfectly fit for purpose.
The owners were fantastic, friendly and helpful and Paella Night in their restaurant was a real triumph!
The whole site is relaxing and laid back. Plenty of space to exercise a dog in the grounds or just have a little amble around.
Wifi by bar good.
We would definitely return.

We arrived at this site intending to stay for a couple of nights and ended up staying 9. The site has easy access about 4kms off the main N route.
There is a small village about 10 mins walk along a pavement along a very quiet road, there is a bakery small shop and Auberge (not tried).
On site the facilities are rustic with communal toilet shower facilities that were clean and tidy. The British owners have a converted barn which is a restaurant with great food and draught beers. It also has a large pull down screen which shows sporting events.
The owners are great very welcoming and friendly and you are treated like a friend. The site also has a fishing pond on site and walks directly from the site through local woodland.
I will go back to this site and have no problem recommending it to other who want a peaceful rural rustic type site

My family and I had the pleasure of staying here for a week in early July 2014. We used one of the on-site static caravans which was in beautiful condition and was very well-equipped. The site is under new ownership.
A young English couple have taken up the reins and are doing a very good job indeed. The whole feel of the site is very laid back and friendly, but it is well-run. There is a large converted barn which is used as a bar and a restaurant. The food is absolutely superb and very reasonably priced.
It makes a refreshing change to go into a French campsite restaurant and not come out feeling slightly ripped-off. There is a large TV screen in one corner of the bar which was used in the evenings.
The owner (Russ) must be keen on sport because he had the Tour de France and World Cup football on most evenings which seemed to go down rather well with all the other visitors on site! The van had toilet and shower facilities which were fine but I did take a shower in the sanitary block when ours was busy with female family members
It was fine, no nasty charges, good hot water and very clean. I noticed that they even supplied toilet roll and soap at the handbasins. I think the block must only be a couple of years old. We also used the swimming pool which was most welcome on a couple of really hot days.
One of the highlights for me was fishing in a smallish lake on the site. I managed to pull out a couple of carp of a few pounds. Apparently there are a couple of catfish in there of 50+ lbs too. Overall this is a lovely site, set in stunning Perigord countryside (26 acres I believe I was told. )
The attitude of the owners is just perfect, contributing to one of the most pleasurable and relaxing holidays we've had for years. There are several shops in the village (5 mins. Walk) but supermarkets are around a 10 minute drive away. For a day out Perigeueux is interesting, the boat ride around Brantome is a must.
