 We camped here for one night at the beginning of September 2014, en route to France from Santander. We chose the site due to it being situated only a couple of hours drive from the ferry.
The site is located just outside a very small town; to get to it we had to drive through an area of bottle banks which required careful dodging of a carpet of broken glass across the road. The greeting at reception was reasonably friendly although little English was spoken.
The site has a big, clean swimming pool which despite it's freezing temperature, was quite busy. We got the impression that most of the people using the pool were from the town, not the campsite, as they seemed to be coming and going in cars and not entering the rest of the site. This wasn't a problem as the pool and surrounding grassed area is huge.
The toilet block was dated and not particularly clean.
We drove into the town in the early evening but there was nothing going on, no obvious restaurants and the only bar was uninviting so we returned back to the campsite.
The site was dominated by long-term caravan lets in poorly maintained plots with tatty garden paraphernalia, dirty awnings, permanent satellite dishes etc. It is quite a dark site, and not at all picturesque. On arrival we chose a reasonably sized plot which seemed relatively quiet. The peace lasted only as long as it took the neighbouring caravan occupants to come back from the swimming pool with their children though. Thereafter we suffered the sound of multiple televisions at high volume playing Spanish soap operas for several hours. After that, we endured a few more hours of children playing noisily around the campsite; shouting and running between the plots. This went on until around midnight.
We left very early the following morning.
We would not recommend this site, particularly not to tent-campers due to the noise issues.
