This is an efficiently run site on the banks of the Tarn with good sized pitches, many of which face the river.
Driving through the entrance requires concentration when towing a caravan!
The sanitary facilities were cleaned regularly and perfectly adequate.
Good nature walks from the campsite entrance.
Baguettes/ croissants etc, delivered by a local boulangerie each morning.

Stopped at this municipal site for 2 nights. You'll find most people use it as a handy stop over. It's easy to find off the motorway system and well signposted as you approach Moissac. The site is situated opposite the town on the other side of the river but it's an easy 15 minute walk over the bridge into the town. Considering its proximity to the town it was very quiet at night as there isn't a major road running passed it.
The first thing you notice when you arrive is that it's probably closed! Opening times, certainly out of season, are eclectic with the office re-opening after lunch at 4pm but if you wander around the site and see one of the guardians who will be doing odd jobs he'll open the barrier for you and you can register after 4.
The site's office building used to be a watermill and there is a buttock clenching short tunnel to drive through. It will not accommodate extra wide vehicles or those over 3 metres in height. Check before entering. The pitches themselves have enough space to accommodate most outfits but are set out in an unusual pattern, usually 3 or 4 deep in a section with you having to pitch length wise rather than across, in order to allow access to the pitches further down the section. Standard blue pin plug for electrics with 16 amps. Sanitary blocks are unisex but clean and efficient.
There is free Wifi, but accessible only next to the office block. Nice views across the river. The site is in ACSI but at the time of our visit this only saved us a euro a night as the price without it was 16 euros.
Moissac itself has a wonderful old abbey in the centre and is an attraction for those on the Santiago de Compestella route.
All in all a decent stop.
Supermarkets are back towards the motorway, about 2 miles away.

We used this as a stop off the Toulouse - Bordeaux motorway - very handy as we were travelling back from Spain. You do have to be careful driving in - not only is it not especially high - it isn;t all that wide either!
Site was looking tired at the end of September but the facilities were spot on and the free wifi was excellent (just in a room).
The town is about a 10/15 minute walk and is really lovely and well worth a visit. Look for the sculptures around the front door of the Abbey.
There are some nice restaurants (especially left-hand side as you walk towards the Abbey); a good market (failed to establish which day -sorry) and plenty of parking in the evening if you have a car.
Excellent stopover and highly recommended.

Elderly campers. We arrived during the monsoon season when we found many of the pitches waterlogged, so pitched nearest the road. However in a couple of days it dried out everywhere so that the campervans arriving for the May 8 holiday had no problems.
The sanitary blocks, of which only one was open, had obviously be recently updated and were cleaned regularly and properly ( earning the WSA - Wife's Seal of Approval).
The free wifi facility at the mill was very good and efficiently house in its own room. By the mill there is a small nature reserve with enormous frogs.
Across the bridge is the town which is on the 'Veloroute de deux mers' which follows the canals from the Atlantic to the Med. Very good cycling.
The town is quite compact centred around a large square and the Abbey with its interesting cloisters.
Just own the road from the camp, about 3 kms. , at Castelsarrasin is a very large Leclerc complex with cheap fuel.
Fishing is very popular from and around the site. Whilst we were there catfish of 2. 2 and 2. 4 metres length were caught.
We stay 6 nights as it was the base for our cycling and there was a Festival in the town. We had no problems, once the rain ceased.
Certainly worth an overnight or longer stop at ACSI muddle range

Reviewers-mature couple with campervan and bikes.
We chose this site from the ACSI book then we knew it would be open in this early season. Our experience is slightly influenced by the heavy rain that had fallen, and continued to do so whilst we were there. I'm sure that it would have been much pleasanter if it had been hot and sunny!
The site is not far from the motoway between Bordeaux and Toulouse so is a handy overnight place.
It is actually situated on an island. The access is through an old mill with a height restriction of 3. 07m, then the pitches stretch across the island, some looking out towards Moissac town.
The reception is at the front of the mill, and we were booked in very efficiently, and given a choice of pitches, mainly just off the hard road as many of the pitches were waterlogged. Most of the pitches are in groups of 2 or 3 leading off the road so it is necessary to keep the access clear so that your neighbours can get in and out. Although the pitches are of a reasonable size, I can imagine it might be tricky if your unit is large. The grass hadn't been cut and there were lots of dead leaves around, so it was very wet underfoot, the whole site is mainly woodland. At the far end of the site there are canvas lodges, and then open woodland, maybe suitable for tents.
There are 2 sanitary blocks, only 1 was open, mixed facilities, and not very clean, though a cleaner did seem to come the day we were leaving.
There is a pool which was closed, a playground, some rooms behind reception, and the map says a bar, which might be part of the pool building.
Fishing seems to be a popular activity here.
It's about a 5 minute cycle into town, where there are shops and restaurants. The canal goes through here too, with a boat marina and towpaths to cycle on.
