Used this site as our first stop from Calais heading to Spain.
The site was a bit scruffy however at this time of year it was not unexpected. The friendly welcome made up for this.
The following morning it was minus 4, the site was completely white and so was the car.
The biggest surprise in the morning was the heating in the toilet/shower block - it was on full blast and it made showering very pleasant indeed. A big plus point.
Would use this site again as a stopover site just for the heating alone.

Arrived here direct from Calais (2. 5 hours) -had a warm friendly welcome by the owner on arrival. Pitched up on part gravel/ grass pitch, with water and electric, overlooking the canal.
It’s a 5 min walk into the quiet town, which has a bar, restaurant, chemist, various shops and small supermarket. Also visited the war memorial which is a 15min walk site - recommended.
Excellent walk along the canal path, easy cycle routes.
All local people very welcoming, despite Covid.
Would fully recommend.

This is a small site in a lovely location next to the river Aisne, which can be seen from most pitches. The owners work hard to maintain and improve the site, although it appears that a number of the pitches are given over to long-term mobile homes or caravans. The good bit though is that this means the toilet facilities - which are dated but clean - are almost your own. We used the site as an overnight stop on the way down and back from the French Alps and were pleasantly surprised. The only real downside (not for us, but for some people) would be that the opposite river bank seems to be a meeting place for local lads who can be noisy at times. That said, we would probably use the site again as it is in a good location and there is plenty to visit around and about.

An interesting site which is situated right by the canal over the bridges from Vailly Sur Ainse. I say bridges because there is a canal then river.
The touring pitches are of an average size & equipped with electricity. There are approx 50% statics. Toilet facilities are old but very clean.
I didn't notice child facilities as we had none with us. There was a restaurant on site (not open)and a quayside cafe nearby next to the canal.
What made it special for us was the wonderful welcome we received, with the owner providing us with plenty of information about the area and six eggs (as he said the hens were laying to many!)
Also the situation was perfect, with the canal, the river & a very attractive small town close by. We spent a happy time watching the barges, the fishermen & exploring the little town.
We also drove Le Chemin les Dames. We went to visit a relative's war grave & only stayed 3 nights, but had we known how interesting the area was we'd have stayed longer.
