Had a fantastic New Years Eve night at this site with hosts Bob and Angie and friendly locals. Basic site with toilet and no shower with water and elsan points close by. Flat field next to river with some hard standing pitches near to the pub which serves excellent food and beer at reasonable prices with EHU. Towns of Selby and Pontefract close by. Will be going back time and time again.

We love this place, quiet and basic. The pub has fantastic food and every one there makes you very welcome. Selby is only a few minutes drive where there is every shop you could need. It has a separate toilet but toilets etc in the pub.

Last minute decision to go away and was told it was busy as they had their annual duck race on which was fun! Just a basic CL site with an external toilet which is a bit like you would have had at your nan's as a kid! Next to a river about 10m away and great for dog walkers. We walked to selby and back one day all via fields and trans penine walk which was great. Host and locals all very friendly and traditional pub food which was lovely and reasonably priced. Would have no hesitation in recommending this to anyone.

This site has got to be one of the best for 'Value for Money'. Its close to the M62, M18 and A1 and ideal as a base for visiting this area. The site is a large field with unmarked pitches. There are both electric hook-up and non-hook-up areas (ideal for rallies). It is located next to a pub/restaurant which sells a lovely pint of Black Sheep bitter (£2. 60 a pint!) and a good menu. If there is a drawback with this site it is the lack of a bus service close by. That said, one regular offered to take us into Selby and pick us up if we wanted.
All this for £7. 50 a night with electric!

Me and my friend stayed here on a friday night and arrived after work. Getting there was fairly easy and when we approached we were extremely happy with things on first site.
After a few minor blips on our part of setting up our tent we were finally sorted. The other campers offered help and to which we were very grateful for.
When we went into the pub we were 15mins late for the food but what we could see of what they had to offer looked brilliant. We had a few drinks in the pub which had real country feel too, the locals and the landlord were absolutely fantastic. They were very warm welcoming, very helpful and we enjoyed a lot of laughs with everyone that night.
We enjoyed our stay that mush we can not wait to visit again.
This is very highly recommended by me and my fiend.

Just had a very good weekend here, if you like the traditional pub then you are in for a treat! We did not eat here but the reviews we heard were spot on. At present there are no showers and toilets are only available during pub hours. Planning permission is being sought but North Yorkshire council. `I will let you fill in the rest` ?? There is a water supply and an elsan point. We had a great time and will return for another great week end, at £7. 50 per night with hook up it is value for money.
