A quiet little site set in great countryside. A working farm with a few cows and goats. The family that run the place are very friendly and approachable. The site itself is really tidy and well laid out to make most of the views around and about. The 1st time we went Andrew invited our family to watch the milking of his cows and to feed the calves. A touch my 2 year old Granddaughter loved, she was totally amazed with the place. So much so we left our caravan there and went back the next weekend. The toilets and shower are small but immaculately clean. All in all as a family we can highly recommend this site.

If you like peace and quiet this is for you. The owner was most hospitable and invited us to watch him milk the cows then hands-on feed the calves with the milk. There's 3 placid goats to pet and stroke and if you're lucky you might get to feed them too. We stayed in our campervan but my niece, her partner, two boys and black lab' stayed in the 'shepherds hut', which was very reasonably priced & has its own new shower room. Toilets were nice and clean. Walk 2 & 1/2 miles along coastal path to Knott End where you can board the 3 minute ferry to Fleetwood, which has a lovely beach.
There's also new barn converted cottages too on the farm. One sleeps 5 and the other sleeps up to 8. Andrew very kindly took us for a tour. I love any campsite that lets you have a fire, camping just wouldn't be the same without a burnt sausage and toasted marshmallows.
