We really enjoyed this campsite which is for tents like us only.
There were only a small number of others there whilst we were, and the one toilet/ shower was always free whenever I went to use it, which was quite surprising.
The only reason for markdown was due to the dishwashing facilities, but it wasn't an issue for us, just boiled our own water, and used our own bowl.
It is beside a road, but we didn't find it that noisy.
The ability to walk the coast path directly from the site, was a real plus for us.
There was a good bus network allowing linear coast path walking, with the bus stop just a 5 min walk away.
We would certainly book here again when returning to the area.

Scaldbeck cottage campsite is a lovely site set in a beautiful location. Morston quay and the North Norfolk Coastal path are a couple of minutes walk away.
It's not a' commercialised' site but a traditional small campsite offering peace and quiet in glorious surroundings.
We sat in the evening sunshine watching large flocks of geese flying over the site and listening to owls in the nearby trees. At night time the stargazing was amazing the sky being inky black.
The owner is a lovely lady who is glad to spend time having a friendly chat.
We will be pleased to return for another visit.

Quiet magical campsite. Friendly owner.
The sun shone on us for all three days. What a joy.
Lots of good simple activities done- long walks, cycled 38 miles, swimming in the sea. 🤗

Lovely setting. Very good shower. There was a wedding next door which resulted in one sleepless night.
We were warned but it was not stressed that it was quite so close or so loud.
The next night was wonderfully peaceful with only owls for company!

Lovely peaceful campsite in a stunning setting.
Facilities are simple but everything you need, super clean with clear instructions to help keep them COVID safe.
We definitely plan to come back here.

This is a wonderful little campsite in a fantastic location, lovely and quiet!
There is only one toilet/shower room for a max of 12 people, at the moment they rely on everyone who uses it to wipe everything down once they’ve been in (as well as regular cleaning).

I loved this site. It is a magical, peaceful place - just being there makes you relax. It is simply a field, with a simple loo & shower (nice, clean, sensible covid measures) and a water tap. It is just for tents.
Numbers of campers limited to be covid-safe but I'm guessing that most visitors would be like those who were there when I was: families wanting a quiet proper outdoor experience.
The owner was very helpful and thoughtful and took time to come and talk to campers to check things were ok.
The location is amazing - just outside Morston village (easy walk to pub although I didn't have time to visit it), very near Morston Quay (where you can get boat trips to see seals etc) and about half an hour's walk into Blakeney (nearest shop, nice quayside, chi-chi bakery & shops, pubs etc)
I only stayed one night as I was walking part of the Norfolk Coast Path but I really wished I could stay longer. I definitely want to go back!

Quiet, small campsite with spacious, level pitches. Good location for visiting some great areas.
One negative is the one and only toilet. This is a problem when the site is full, albeit only with 12 people. However, the toilet is in the same room as the shower, therefore you can sometimes wait a while before you can use the toilet.
This would not put me off re visiting.
