Proper camping,
We stayed here in March for a night. The site was in a lovely location, perfect for exploring Mid Wales.
My daughter enjoyed seeing the baby lambs, the river would be good to paddle in on a hot day.
The owners were great and gave me help with my van.
Highly recommended.

We stayed here for three nights whilst visiting friends in the area.
Communication with John prior to the stay was great, and when we arrived he was brilliant.
The site itself is well maintained the amenities block is basic but clean and has everything you need.
The site is quiet (animal noises) being the norm.
We would definitely stay here again - it’s a hidden gem!

Stayed for one night. Facilities are good for size although hot water in kitchen still not working. Need some sort of sign at gate about check in as we went to bungalow of same name who are nothing to do with site. Very quiet and good flat hard standing not far from Llyn Vyrnwy. We never saw owner so not sure what mark to give customer service!

This site is a little unusual. There was no one there to meet us and the payment is just placed in an honesty box. We did meet the owner on the second day that we were there; he was very pleasant and said that he usually comes every day. The facilities were clean and very reasonable, although the hot water to the washing up sinks was not working while we were there. The site itself is just a large, level field, with sheep grazing, so you have to watch where you are treading! There was plenty of space to pitch wherever you wanted. There was some traffic noise from the nearby A road, but this diminished at night. Apart from this it was very peaceful. The approach is via a fairly long single track lane, but we didn't meet any traffic and only saw one car on it the whole time we were there.

Booked this site whilst en route to Barmouth. Due to work by Severn Trent, there was no one else on site. It was gorgeous with the river nearby. The facilities were spotless and I liked the honesty box, which of course I filled with the appropriate notes. This is a lovely little site, just off the main road, but totally rural in its outlook. If I am over this way again I will certainly use it again. It was a shame the weather was atrocious, but there was all you need for a single night or longer.

Spent 3 nights here over May Bank Holiday weekend with our boys aged 11 and 9. What a gem of a site, fantastic!
There is a family shower room which has a toilet, sink, shower, changing station for baby and there is also a separate toilet and separate shower. Washing up facilities were clean and there is a freezer you can use. These were all spotless and everything looked new and freshly installed. Wheelchair friendly.
There are handstand pitches and a field which has EHU for tents. As it was so quiet we pitched on the hardstanding which was flat and plenty of room. There is a river running nearby which the boys liked and I understand you can fish there, very peaceful. Owner and family were very friendly and pleasant, wish them all the best with this new venture.
We went for the cycling at Lake Vyrnwy which is about a 20 minute drive away and thoroughly recommended. We also visited Welshpool and Montgomery, loads of other things to do in the area and we will be returning. Oh and £12 per night for tent with EHU, really great value for money.

We were looking for a cheap site for a week away and found this site. Cracking value with electricity included.
The area for tents was flat and well drained although during our week it rained on and off for the whole week so the ground did become a little soggy but nothing that we couldn't deal with. The field is close to the river which is easily accessed and a great area for the dogs to run around and explore.
The toilet block is well kept and cleaned on a regular basis. Showers are £1 for 5 minutes which is reasonable. There are facilities for rubbish, which needs to be separated for recycling and the bins are emptied on a regular basis.
This is a great little site, handy for exploring mid-Wales, only an hour or so from the coast. The nearest supermarket is in Welshpool which is about 25 minutes drive away.
I would recommend this site to anyone looking for a quiet getaway on a small well kept site.

We first visited in oct 2013 to view storage facilities. We have stayed numerous times since then and they store our tourer throughout year in secured barn.
Great little site. Very quiet and relaxing. Shower block more than adequate. Loads of places to visit. The site is a great base to visit Wales from. The owner and family are always pleasant and helpful. Great find.

What a beautiful site. Set in mid Wales the camping field was surrounded by hills and running along side the river Banwy.
Two tents (one with electric hook up) 2 adults and 3 kids all chilling out in the middle of no where.
Facilities were very clean and working. £1 for 5 minutes in the shower - took a minute of that for the shower to remain at a constant temperature so take a couple of pounds if you are showering the kids.
We didn't see anyone the first day - infact rang them to make sure we'd got the right place. Second day we met the lovely 'Rihannon' who chatted and we paid. The farmers on tractors etc always 'bibbed' us when passing and this we felt was a nice touch.
We drove into Welshpool, Mac, Borth and went to see lake Vyrnwy - all v nice, full of tea rooms and places to eat.
Thank you for a lovely peaceful stay, we'd got the field to ourselves. Kids really enjoyed the space, the river is beautiful.
Would we go back? Already planning to.

Stayed for a few days during cold march. The country side views are amazing and so is the new toilet washing up block.
This is a great park if you want peace and quiet with loads of space for the kids. Sheep roaming around and long country walks with very little phone signal, just what I like.
Great base to visit local area's too, we did electric mountain near snowdon and it was a great day.
Try the on site eggs they are great.
