Excellent site as a stopover from France to Italy & vice versa. Would only endorse previous reviews - the toilets & showers are excellent & spotless. The owners very welcoming & helpful. We have a large 'van and access was fine. Site level, plenty of hook ups, quiet at the time we visited. Lovely mountain scenery We actually stayed 2 nights on the way to Arezzo as it was so nice & peaceful & we used it again on our return as it is so convenient for the autostrada. Fees are on the high side but OK if you're only staying 1 or 2 nights. Town of Oulx small but has a good Alimenteri for basics. Would certainly use this site again

We visited Camping Gran Bosco in July 2012 and used it as an overnight stop whilst heading for the south of Italy. The site is ideally located for a stopover as it's not far from the main A32 motorway just after the Tunnel de Frejus. Turning into the site first impressions were good, a very warm welcome was afforded at reception.
A fairly large grass area for tents, motorhomes and caravans is fairly level and electric hookups are available, although our 30m cable wasn't long enough but the site lent us an extension, no problems. We parked on our pitch alongside our unit.
I would reiterate a previous reviewer 'the toilet and shower facilities are among the best we have ever encountered on a campsite, anywhere. Beautifully finished with solid polished granite worktops, fully tiled and centrally heated, they are kept spotlessly clean'.
Not wishing to cook we frequented the restaurant facility, sitting outside on the terrace, the food was excellent and the beer was cold.
We slept well there was no noise.
The site is deep in the mountains and the scenery is splendid.

Camping Gran Bosco is the only site we saw between the Col de Montgenevre (the N94 from Briancon) and Susa, on the Autostrada A32 down to Turin from the Frejus Tunnel. As such it is a good night halt on the way into or out of Italy by either route.
To find it coming down from the Col, do not pick up the Autostrada but go through the town of Oulx and out onto the old SS24 towards Salbertrand and Susa. From the Frejus Tunnel, leave the Autostrada at Oulx Ovest exit and pick up the SS24, heading east towards Salbertrand and Susa.
On this road, as all Italian main roads, there are numbered Kilometer Posts all the way; the site is on the left side of the road between Km 75 and 76. Note that the entrance is not very obvious, although it is signed.
The site is small and with a predominance of permanent mobile homes. The grass area for tents, motorhomes and caravans is fairly level and electric hookups are available. Cars may need to be parked away from the tent/caravan. Pitches are not marked, and could be close together if the site is busy.
There is a small children's playground, volleyball and tennis courts, bar/snack bar and games area.
The toilet and shower facilities are among the best we have ever encountered on a campsite, anywhere. Beautifully finished with solid polished granite worktops, fully tiled and centrally heated, they are kept spotlessly clean. There is also a washing up and laundry room.
There is a chemical disposal point and a motorhome service bay.
The site is deep in the mountains, and there are plentiful opportunities for walking and mountain biking, In winter the site is fairly close to many ski areas.
