Terrible weather-all the pitches completely waterlogged-some motorhomes had to be tractored off. Pitches arranged in avenues and enclaves-very difficult access off the main drag-had to unhitch and use the mover. As has been said before very odd toilet/shower arrangements although shower cubicles very roomy and plentiful hot water.

Days before the close of the campsite and there were still plenty of activities and entertainment

Daily bread didn't have to be ordered-freely available at the shop from8 am. Extremely expensive site in high season.

Location handy for st malo but local industrial/ commercial development seems to be inching towards the site. We drove in and parked in a pay car park near the ferry terminal and walked across the bridge to the walled city-absolutely stunning views from the ramparts-would happily go there again.

We stayed for a week in the middle of August. This was a lovely site with a large flat pitch and it was very peaceful at night. The pool complex was great and very large for the size of the site so was never busy. The site was clean and staff friendly with various activities going on. There were plenty of showers and these were kept very clean. You could take a nice walk to the local supermarket which has a super café, you could also walk to the village and very handily Mcdonalds!

As others have said there was a bus from the end of the Lane that goes into St Malo.

I couldn't actually fault the site other than one issue that did let it down and that was the unisex toilets. Although they appeared clean they were smelly and the open urinals weren't something I am used to and my daughter hated walking past. We have a camping toilet so set that up so they didn't need to go in there. I don't understand why they have so many showers in two sections yet very few unisex toilets. They could have easily separated them.

It was very handy for the ferry.

All in all it was a fantastic site and I would return if they did something to improve the toilets.

We booked this site and were very pleased with its close location to st Malo, we took the Portsmouth overnight crossing with our twin axle caravan. We did email the site before and discovered we couldn't arrive directly on site so parked in a lay by at the commerce area about a mile away from the site, we found out we could have parked on the supermarket Cora's car park no problem. The site staff were all very friendly and helpful. Access was a bit tight but we managed to enter and leave our avenue without the use of mover but did use it to pitch. The pitch was out of level parking as we usually do so decided to pitch inwards which worked. We had enough room to have our awning and canopy (which we needed to provide shade!) the toilet block was kept very clean, we were there from 22nd August so still in peak, plenty of showers and toilets. Food on site, takeaway or eat in was of a very good standard and reasonably price, shop was a bit pricey and closed at lunch until 4 but you could still buy baggettes from reception. The pool complex was superb, didn't use the indoor pool because the weather was so warm 43• on one day! Everything else you may need is only a short drive away, Cora supermarket which we thought was like Asda only better and price leader more like lidl, McDonald's, bricolage, plenty of lovely local markets, dinan, dinard and the bus that is at the end of the site road that takes you into st malo gare, you catch another bus into the walled town included in your €2. 30 ticket that allows you 1. 5 hours travel. We will be returning.

Stayed here for 3 nights in May, site was quiet but everything was open, pool, bar, shop, takeaway and the outdoor pool was heated. Staff spoke very good english and all gave great service. Very clean in all respects, 10amp hookup on nice size pitches, most set in groups of six. There is a very slight hum of road noise in the distant but was never an issue. If you like shopping there is loads close by but also lots to see and do in the area, St Malo, Dinan, st Sulliac and Concale are just a few. Fuel and food shop just a few minutes away 16 Euro a night with ACSI card.

This has to be by far the best appointed site we stayed at on our 'Tour de France'. €16 ACSI in low season and has more amenities than you can shake a stick at. So good we used it twice in fact. It just makes me wonder why folks stay at Le Ville Huchet which can be no more than 2 miles away and which nobody seems to like.

The site is easy to find once you have the local geography worked out, left off the second turn to St Joaun (the first will take you, but through the village), across the roundabout and left past the various large retail outlets. Best to use Satnav for this last bit. Right from the site and follow the signs past Le Ville Huchet and across Le Barrage de la Rance for Dinard.

The only 2 gripes are that the outdoor swimming pool has a strong current which will quickly take you out of your depth if you are not a strong swimmer (like me), which in my opinion could be dangerous. Not sure if this is an 'on/off' feature. (It has a kiddy pool and 2 tame slides, plus an indoor pool which we forgot to investigate). Also the EHU is too far away from some pitches and hidden behind hedges, not a great feature for an otherwise very good site, otherwise it would be 10/10 for sure.

The site is divided into 'enclaves' for 6 units by hedges which are full of birds, including nightingales, and red squirrels.

There is a very large 'Cora' supermarket close by, cheap fuel opposite (just off the roundabout, but 'foreign' credit/debit cards can't be used in the machine on Sundays), a Decathlon (didn't try it so can't comment), easy access to St. Malo and Dinard (which is lovely even in the rain), good beaches just east of St. Malo. The site has a tv room, a games room, tennis and boules, a bar, snack bar etc.
