We wished to visit Tomar, and as the municipal is now a camper stop we chose here. Easy to follow directions from south, coming of motorway at Tomar north, then follow signs.
Site is a good 15 mins to Tomar, be warned no other village shops around, so stock up if planning days on the reservoir etc,
No decent restaurant in vicinity either.
Site is homely, clean, tidy very well maintained, The owners make you feel very welcome. If you wish to join other fellow campers at the bar 5 -7 drinks are nuts and chatter are available.
Wifi is available for free, but limited so don't watch tv on line or download. Lovely walk through woods from site with printed details about 5km. Many interesting picnic spots on reservoir to visit.
A delightful camping site.

Good location for visits out to several places of spiritual and architectural interest. We chose to do the Convent of Christ in Tomar itself which was very interesting and well worth seeing. €6. 00 entrance fee and a free audio guide which we found helpful but there are interpretation boards with information in English as well as Portuguese. Free car parking. The jewel in the crown is the ornate octagonal 'rotunda'.
The following day we drove 30 minutes or so to Batalha which was equally stunning and quite different in style. Again €6 entrance and another complimentary audio guide. The town/city is so clean and tidy too. Loved our visit.
Back to the site which was acceptable but we wouldn't rush back. The fact that it is Dutch owned/managed was clearly evident and we did feel a little out if it, despite having staying on several Dutch sites before - couldn't quite put my finger on why. Facilities were clean but would have preferred a bit more privacy in the loos - the doors are on the short side and there is a gap between the door and frame. Guess it all adds to the 'hippy', laid back atmosphere along with the signs with words of wisdom attached to the trees, the wolf-whistling parrot.
Wifi was very poor. It was only available around the bar and you only seemed to connect when someone else logged off.
Took advantage of the owner's offer to be towed out of the site which is accessed via a very steep drive, albeit hard surfaced.
We didn't find their map with directions on the website particularly helpful so studied online resources carefully. We approached from the Tomar Norte exit off the IC9, turned left at the roundabout with the filling station, then picked up the 'campismo' signs.

A little gem of a site just 7km from Tomar. Tiered pitches with plenty of space with ehu available. A small swimming pool, there are 2 showers with piping hot water and good pressure. Washing up area with hot water. All facilities spotlessly clean.
There is a small bar and terrace at the top of the site - it is in a word perfect. You can sit indoors or outdoors, fire inside for chilly nights, beautifully done with real character. The owners are very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome.
No traffic noise as the pitches are well away from the road, just total peace and quiet. Fresh bread delivered daily to site, they also have some local products such as piri piri oils for sale.
There are 3 or 4 bars / restaurants in the village, all within 5-10 minutes walk. Supermarkets in Tomar 10 minutes drive and easy to get to.
The Convento de Cristo is a must in Tomar. We drove up to the entrance in campervan and plenty of parking right outside the gate in 2 big carparks. Follow signs from town as they avoid the old town narrow streets.

We visited this site on our latest trip back to the UK through Portugal. We had a lovely day at Fatima from here. The young Dutch owners are passionate about their site it is just a little paradise.
Tranquil and spotlessly clean facilities a super pool and bar on site with a warm, warm welcome. For Campers with tents there are some lovely secluded pitches.
We didn't want to leave and will be back for a longer stay.
