 Just put camping sites in sat nav & it took us here.
Well I thought it was very nice, we arrived they booked us in at reception & we choose a pitch, no problems. They told us barrier code & opening times of everything, also that only one toilet/shower block was open. Pool was open but as we only stayed one night didn't use it.
Had a lake side pitch & walked over to bar for a drink. Went to the market the next day in local town as we left.
All very nice, would recommend.

I booked and prepaid this campsite in January ready for our trip to Normandy in June. This being the second site to visit during our France leg of our holiday.
This site is approximately 5 minutes drive from the main Cherbourg N/E road and is quite well signposted, although we made use of our SatNav in finding the place.
The site is located behind a residential area and alongside football playing fields to the entrance side and a lake to another side.
Upon our arrival, reception was closed for siesta for two and a half hours. Barrier down. Not the best start.
We decided to go off to the coastal area and do some site seeing - not ideal with van full of camping gear.
Upon our return we got checked in and allocated a pitch with views of the lake.
Pitch was of decent size but a bit scruffy. (tyre tracks across the pitch, unkept grassed areas and newspaper strewn between trees next to the lake)
The site had good facilities for children although gangs of young kids either congregated around the toilet block or played ball between everyones pitches.
Toilets and showers are shared, toilets weren't the cleanest! (My wife went in the disabled toilet due to every toilet being a mess, only for someone to have wiped excrement over the taps!)
Showers and bathroom sinks were clean though.
This site is classified as being a four star - read into that as you will.
Had we not pre-paid, or had booked for a longer duration, we would have packed up and left. The two nights that we managed were definitely enough.
Isigny sue Mer had a lovely little town centre, however this alone would not be a big enough draw to recommend staying at Le Fanal Campsite.
If you really want to visit this area of Normandy, I would suggest staying elsewhere.
