Great site with the cleanest toilets we've ever seen on an independent site,
Hosts were pleasant and approachable,
Pitch rates were reasonable with EHU and hardstanding if required.
We will return.

This site is a real gem. Fantastic location on the edge of Exmoor but with easy access to the North Devon coast.
Gail keeps an immaculate site, loos and showers spotless and there is also a dish washing and laundry area.
The site is easily accessed on a minor road just off the A399.
The site is very peaceful with no road noise.
There is a great little dog walking paddock and also a longer woodland and stream walk.
The site has a choice of hard-standing or grass and the pitch sizes are generous and at 14. 50 a night it is very reasonable.
The nearest village, Bratton fleming has a little shop that sells essentials. The Black Venus is a great pub a 7 min drive away in the village of Challacombe.
Good local attractions are Lee Bay and Wimbleball lake for paddleboarding. The beaches of Saunton Sands and Woolacombe Bay allow dogs and there is the opportunity to hire surf / body boards and walk the coastal paths.
Lynton and Lynmouth are also worth a visit and the town of Illfracombe is nearby with a Tesco store.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely return.

Absolutely lovely, staff and facilities couldn’t be better and it was so quiet and peaceful.
Beautiful walks through the woods down to a stream with picnic area.
Couldn’t recommend highly enough!

What a lovely site run by an equally lovely friendly family!
The facilities (although not all open) are immaculate - there is a laundry room with basic washing facilities, washing-up area, a disabled toilet, disabled shower room (open for all - 20p) ladies with 4 toilets & showers (closed at time of visit) and same in the gents.
The site itself is kept pristine, the grass areas reminded me of a bowling green!
There are rubbish bins throughout the site which are emptied twice a day and a recycle area.
There is a large playing field for games which had goal nets and a badminton net with rackets with instructions that only games should be played within that area.
There is a specific dog walk area but also a large wooded area to walk around (with or without dogs).
There are quiet country lanes and paths to walk on from the site with Exmoor zoo just 10 mins walk down the road.
Lots of towns and coast within 1/2 hour drive on very undulating roads.
Would definitely recommend and all at a very reasonable charge (£17. 50 inc. EHU in high season at time of writing).

This was our first visit to the site. We were not disappointedI. It is a very well kept site very friendly
Owners Rosemary and Arthur. Rosemary is very customer oriented and will go that extra mile.
Good facilities and cleaned some 3 times a day. Lots of wild live walks and animals to see. We saw a deer and its baby. A beautiful fox. Dog walking area. Football area for children.
Next village Challacombe. 2. Miles away. Village pub. The black Venus. Outdoor garden and wfree wi-fi. Very good meals.
A very quite site. Will definitely return again. And again. Its a gem of a site. And very reasonable priced. We had to leave site early to go home and was refunded a nights stay. Now you don't often get that. Well done to owners.

We stayed for three nights on hard standing, what a lovely peaceful site. Toilets very clean, site very well maintained by smashing owners. Nice play area for the children and one for the dogs too!Plenty of local info on site. The zoo is just down the road and well worth a visit, Will be going back soon.

First impression; a farm site, with sheds and all. But after just one curve, a whole field opens up to you and you will be stunned! Great pitches, hard standing or grass, a spotless toilet block with great facilities, a lovely wooden shed with all the tourist information of the whole area you can think of.
Three rotaries for public use, a spin dryer (no charge!), etc. etc. etc. The toilet block is cleaned every single day and remained spotless during our 10 days of staying here. Very lovely and helpful owners. Our electricity lead was not long enough to reach the hook-up, and our not grounded cord was according to the owner, not safe enough. So he gladly lent us one of his own, so we would have a safe stay. Extra wooden blocks under the caravan? No problem, the owner is there for your rescue!
We really, thoroughly, and with all our hart enjoyed the stay on this campsite, despite the weather. The owners are a warm and lovely couple who know what hospitality is all about. We can not think of any disadvantage of this campsite, and we are sure to stay here again in the future to explore more of beautiful Exmoor National Park and the North Devon Coastline. Be sure to visit Watchet and its museum, a tiny place, not in any book, but beautiful and tranquil!

Very clean site, brilliant walks surrounding it for dogs and even a dog area so dogs dont mess on the actual site. Huge play area with small football pitch, and swings. Toilets and showers were spotless. Bratton Fleming is a nice village with a shop. The White Hart pub however is not recommended. Exmoor zoo within 300 yrds. The only point that lets it down is its location on the moors. It seems to be in a pocket of bad weather. After beeing there 2 years on the trot is cant be coninsidence. It can be beutiful sun down the road but the site will have mist. Really quite peculiar. Good prices and easy access to places around. Recommended if you don't mind dodgy weather!

This site is a great getaway, nice and peaceful. Well kept, nice and clean. Dog exercise area and good walks. A family run site that are very friendly and welcoming. There is a pub just up the road and about 10 to 15 mins drive to Woolacombe.
Will be going back this year if they will have me!
