Nice quiet site with only 5 pitches on the edge of Whitland which had a good butchers, Co op.
Did not use the shower block so can’t comment on this. Have marked the facilities as 10 as there was not an option to put N/A.
The owners were away for the weekend but they did help us steer the caravan off site when we left after they had returned.

A lovely little site, all level with loads of space. A little road noise but didn't notice it after a short while. Single toilet and shower room very clean and more then adequate. Water, grey waste and cwd all available. The owners are very friendly and helpful.
This was a great site for us as it has access to shops - fantastic butchers up the street 'London Butchers' and a well stocked Co-op further on.
A great addition was the proximity to the local railway station which has access to nearby places - Narberth, Tenby and lots more further afield. Great to park up and 'take the train'.
We had a nice run out to Tenby then back home for a BBQ. Would highly recommend this site especially for the price which includes ehu.

Nice little 5 van site. Owner very helpful. 5 minuets walk to village with 2 pubs and shops. Had a sunday lunch at the Station Inn, food very nice, recommend both site and pub. Some walks around village and only a short drive to Tenby

The previous reviewer has explained the area and facilities exactly as it. We really can't add anything else. The wonderful owners have thought of everything for your comfort, we really didn't want to leave! We are actually LOATHE to leave a review as we would love to keep this site as our secret! Not only a relaxing long weekend with 2 very happy dogs, we were treated to a fresh bass for our tea by the owners. What more could you want? NOTHING was too much trouble for them, without being intrusive. THANK YOU

As I am the first reviewer, I will give a comprehensive insight to Brookside Certificated Site and its Location.
I recommend this site as a great base for touring.
The owners are a relaxed, welcoming couple, friendly but not intrusive, and we had the most pleasurable 6 nights here, the nicest we have had in a long time
Firstly, It was a nice journey with no difficult, twisty bends or hill starts towing the caravan, and an easy access to the site on arrival made the trip unusually enjoyable.
There is a large, clean, heated, single shower room and toilet with lashings of free hot water, with a constant flow, not the push button type.
The 5 pitches are all grass which the owner cares for himself and keeps it neat. There is a river on one side of the pitching field and a central stand providing electric hook-ups for 4 units. You can run your dogs here too and the doggie bin is located on the road just before you go over the bridge towards the high street. The field runs parallel with a side road so you will hear a whisper of traffic, but the convenience of a semi-rural pitch within a 2 minute walk for your morning paper etc is a worthwhile compromise.
It is just a two minute level walk to the high street where you will find 2 local pubs that advertise meals and some entertainment, A Spar shop, Colin Harries the butcher with fabulous home made sausages and the largest free range eggs you will see anywhere. There is a cafe and a tea rooms with home made cakes and Dave's £1 store is like the Tardis, full of annexe's and he sells everything so be sure to seek out the rooms at the back of the shop.
There is also a co-op with an ATM machine, (if you go to the top of the high street and look left you will see it on the corner on the opposite side of the road).
Whitland railway station is on the High street from where you can get the train to Haverfordwest, Tenby, Fishguard, and as far East as London.
We spent a day in Saundersfoot, and Wisemans Bridge, then came back to site via Narberth with its beautiful little boutique shops. Here we had the most wonderful take away Cod & Chips at 'The Contented Sole' situated on the corner of the square. Opposite is a family butchers selling wonderful home made pies, preserves, sausages & unusual steak truffles filled with blue cheese to take home for your BBQ.
We had a tremendous day at Picton Castle and gardens with Charlie, a smashing little Cockney Gent who gave us the most wonderful commentary of the Castle and its colourful inhabitants and I will most certainly visit there again, Our two dogs were allowed in the extensive grounds and woodland, and the nice lady in the tea rooms provides a bowl of water for your pets. We had an enjoyable lunch including her delightful chocolate cake for £10 for two courses. This attraction is a full day out on its own.
There is a Saturday boot sale and Sunday morning market at Haverfordwest aerodrome. Here We had a Beef dinner with fresh Vegetables in the cafe on the corner opposite the public conveniences for just £4. 95 and a home made rhubarb crumble and custard for £1. 95 both very fresh and acceptable.
As you have read, this site is ideally placed with about 20 to 30 minutes from some beautiful and captivating Welsh beauty spots including laugharne, Cardigan Bay, Saint David's, and Tenby with its little boat trips to Caldey Island, and also Fishguard with daily ferry crossings to Ireland.
The cost was £12 a night including electric hook-up, awning, and 2 dogs, and at the time of this review that is the total price per night all Year!
There is so much more to say about the area, but I must leave you enjoy exploring touring at its best.
