Beautiful views and great location. Friendly and helpful owner.
Access roads with caravan good. Last 250yds single track but very quiet so no problem. Was coming out of site a little bit tight so careful manoeuvring required when leaving.

Second time I have chosen this site for a long weekend.
It's beautiful and tranquil.
The facilities are excellent and the owner is great. Just had a glorious 3 days walking in the lakes in this sunny Easter weather.
Had the site to myself! Well except for the lambs playing in the field and the birds singing.
Will definitely be back again.

What a gem! A friendly welcome from the owner to a small site, screened by trees from the lane, containing 3 hard standings and two slightly sloping grass pitches plus some rocky outcrops - no space for children to play.
Good water point, grey water soak away in the corner and an interesting CDP. You can be woken by blackbirds singing and the occasional bleat of a sheep from the next field and sip your tea looking out over a valley with traditional farm houses, stone barns and dry stone walls.
A family of buzzards control one end of the valley, kites the other, and inbetween a heron stalks the burn. During the day just 4 or 5 cars and a couple of tractors pass down the lane so no planes, no trains, no vehicle noise.
Just 10 minutes drive from Windermere and easy access to the other Lake District honeypots.

If you are looking for an all singing and dancing site with a clubhouse then this one is not for you. HOWEVER, if you a looking for an idyllic, tranquil, restful stay in a beautiful location then this is the place.
Having been overawed by the crowds around Bowness and the lakes, Low Birks Farm provided us with a tranquil haven for our overnight stop on our way south.
The site nestles in a beautiful wooded valley 'far from the madding crowd', but with surprisingly easy access from the M6.
The pitches were level ( I did not need to use my ramps)and well spaced. There is an efficient and amusing CDP (it is encased inside what appears to be a wheelie bim), fresh water tap and a waste disposal (not a drive over for MHs). We received a friendly and efficient welcome.
We just soaked up the tranquillity after fighting the traffic around the lakes.
We loved it and we will certainly be back as we will use it as a stopover on our journeys up and down the country. However it is also well worth considering as a base for visiting the lake district.
Highly recommended.

What a great new site! We have just returned from two nights at Low Birks Farm and would have no hesitation in recommending it.
We were made to feel most welcome by the owner who has just invested in four new hardstanding pitches and one grass pitch, all with lovely countryside views and sheltered to the south and west by mature trees.
Located along a very quite lane the site is walking distance of two great country pubs and only a 15 minute drive to Bowness-On-Windermere and Lake Windermere.
The site makes a great base from which to explored the south Lake District whilst avoiding the busy sites of the central lakes.
Easy access from the M6 (Junction 36) and the market town of Kendal 15 minutes drive away for supermarkets and other essential amenities.
There is currently no electric hook-up and own sanitation is essential which was no problem for us.
We could not fault this site in anyway and we will certainly return very soon.
