A well situated site just as you enter Yport. But very badly kept facilities and scrubby pitches untypical of our experience of Flower campsites. The toilets and showers were very poorly maintained with many unusable due to misfitting locks. The pitches were ok but close to various rental accommodations. The town is mediocre and and frankly nothing there to make you want to go back - just a shingle beach between enormous cliffs on both sides. Don't go.
I will admit that when we turned in to the campsite after a four and a bit hour drive from Calais, my heart did sink a little. Flower Camping makes you think this will be all flora and fauna and it's not. It's plain scrubby grass for the touring pitches. Our pitch was quite lumpy and bumpy and very shaded. Pick one of the middle pitches if you can, rather than the ones beside the hill. The facilities were okay - perfectly functional but nothing flash. I don't think I'll ever quite come to terms with unisex toilets though!
They were building a swimming pool when we were there which will add to the attractiveness of the site.
The wifi was free and able to be used on our pitch.
Yport is a cute village on the Normandy coast. There's a couple of bars and restaurants as well as a pebble and sandy beach. We really liked Yport and would stay again at the campsite.
