The campsite overlooks the beautiful city of Salzburg. A few minutes from the site there is a bus stop where you can catch a bus into Salzburg, which takes less than 10 minutes, also there is a tarmac cycle path along the river.
The owner of the site is very welcoming and helpful, he also makes a fabulous apple strudel.
The facilities are some of the best we've seen with underfloor heating in the bathrooms and shower room, and the cafe / bar is also a great asset to the site.
We would definitely recommend this site to anyone who wishes to visit Salzburg.

Arrived with ACSI card and got a great pitch with views over to Salzburg and the mountains. Family run site, quite small, friendly welcome. Very close to the motorway and you have to watch out for the turning just after you turn off the Autobahn. Pitches are fine but not huge, and could be tight with big outfits. Grassy but firm underneath and mostly quiet at night apart from occasional loud vehicles or train noise!
Facilities new looking and very clean, with hot water etc. Wifi was by paying so didn't bother. Got a lot of info about getting into Salzburg on the bus about 5 minutes walk from the site, but we ended up just walking in, took about 40 minutes.
On site restaurant served good food and coffees.
Didn't work out where the grey waste dump was, but sure there is one!
Only note of caution - if you want to pay the ACSI price make sure you ask for an ASCI pitch, they don't have the same views! We ended up paying the normal rate of 29Euro plus tourism tax.

Our experience couldn't be more different from the previous reviewer! Admittedly we were here in spring, so the site was only half full, but there were plenty of trees just coming into leaf, which would provide shade in summer, there was no resemblance to a building site, the ground was mainly grassy with some gravel to help with drainage, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
The toilet block is one of the best we have ever come across - spacious, modern, clean, and - important in low season - heated. Toilet paper, soap, hand dryer, hairdryer, lots of mirrors. Plenty of hot water, and not push button, thank goodness!
There's a large laundry room with 3 washing machines, 3 dryers, a sink for hand laundry, 3 washing up sinks and a fridge for tent campers. There's fresh bread in the morning baked on the premises, a small shop, and a restaurant in high season. The views are fabulous, even the 5-minute walk to the bus is through a pretty meadow and over a stream. Despite the nearness to the autoroute the site was very quiet, unlike others in the Salzburg area which have both road and rail noise.
Yes, the pitches are in a row, but so are most campsites! It's a relatively small site, and pitches are on 4 terraces, so the overall effect isn't at all regimented.
It's not cheap at 33 euros, but then no sites in the Salzburg area are cheap (there are no ACSI sites anywhere nearby. ) Having just paid 20. 50 for a site with very basic facilities, unheated shower room and unmowed grass, we were very glad we'd moved. We felt it was worth paying a bit more for 3 very civilised, comfortable nights.

We had originally planned to stay for 4 nights. We stayed only one, and then moved to a neighbouring site. We were 2 adults and 2 children with a family tent, travelling by public transport.
OK, first things first. The views from the site are indeed panoramic, really beautiful. And the toilet blocks are brand new, of a very high specification, and to be welcomed by all. But that, as far as we were concerned, summed up the attractions of this site.
Indeed, it wouldn't be entirely unfair to describe the layout and general ambience of the place as reminiscent more of a building site than a campsite. Little greenery, practically no shade whatsoever, so that tents (and their miserable occupants) stood bleached in the sun.
To add to the general dreariness of it all, the ground is not only the usual baked earth experience, but mostly gravel, giving a truly inhospitable impression indeed. And the cheek by jowl, all-in-a-line layout of campervan after campervan only exaggerated matters. To make things worse we found staff offhand and surly (unlike their much warmer Bavarian neighbours only an hour or so up the road).
There is a small shop, and a restaurant, which is to be expected nowadays. As a stop-gap for a night this is fine; more than that and you'll be tearing your hair out.

We spent 2 nights at this site. It is very convenient for Salzburg. A ten minute stroll along a path down a slight hill takes you to the trolley bus stop. Then a 10 minute trip to the centre of Salzburg.
The site is on terraces mainly hard-standing, although there is a grassy pitch at the top by the toilets/showers for tents.
The shower block looked brand new and was immaculate. There is a restaurant, but we didn't try it. The site's website shows pictures of a well stocked shop, but all I saw was a very few basic supplies and some tourist gift items.
English is spoken at reception and they were very helpful.
The only downside is the number of vehicles they managed to squash in. I don't think they have the 3 meter rule, more like 3 foot! But the site was generally quiet and well located and we would visit again.
