Really good time had at this site in August. Pools are lovely and the pitches were mostly large and grassy. The new owners are excellent hosts and offer good food during the evening. The river is a 5 min walk, and a must to visit at dusk. The SuperU is 30 min walk or 5 mins in the car over the river then straight up the hill after the small roundabout.
Visit Chinon when you can it is medieval and has a fete in August.

Stayed here for 4 nights on way home from South. Bit out the way for a stop of site but great location for exploring the heritage of France. Pitches and clean and hedge surroundings. Toilet and shower facility are clean and hot showers. Swimming pool is good with very good slides according to the kids. Bar and food area good, food reasonable priced. Entertainment was very good for a small site with English country band and very good magic show. All in all this is a very nice site and well worth the visit. Casino shopping in near by town but if you go through the shopping area you will find a Lidl on your left. This is 6Km from the site by road and can by cycled but has got some long hills.
Reception was very friendly and helpful. Every one working here spoke very good English. This site is well worth a visit

This is a lovely site with excellent clean facilities. We booked for 3 days but are still here 7 days later with no great desire to move on in case we are disappointed! Walk into town where there are bars and restaurants but with somewhat sporadic opening times, you seem to need to book everywhere even if the restaurant is empty. Town is not a touristy town but pleasant and great for cycling in the quiet roads nearby. We would return happily.

This is a brilliant site. It is the second time we have been here and there will definitely be a third! Great location, good facilities, great pools (indoor and outdoor) and good sized pitches with well kept hedges. Great value for money and free wifi. The cycling in the area is excellent. Easy to cycle to Saumur although the cycle track north of the river is a bit rough in places and we found it pleasanter to use the 'very quiet' roads. The track south of the river is shared with other traffic but goes through some very pretty villages on the banks of the Loire. You can order croissants on site or go the short distance into town. There is also a local supermarket very close to the site with a good selection of food including a very good butcher's counter.

Key points covered in previous reviews and we are in total agreement. Very friendly welcome in excellent English and because it was so early in the season we had a wide choice of pitches and got one which was in full sun all day.
Because the site was not busy and quiet the only facilities open were next to the main reception. They were clean, warm and in good order.
Samur is a 20 minute relaxed and picturesque drive alongside the river and the Saturday morning market was much bigger than we expected and well worth a visit.
If you are needing to do a bigger shop than the local village there is an enormous and very modern International supermarket and shopping complex just as you enter the town. Which is easily accessible to motorhomes, RV's and long combinations.
A great site would visit again

Last review covers all the bases. Only E 14 off season with an ACSI card all inclusive. The cycling all around is first class with plenty greenways for bikes and well signed as well.
The village is very nice with tourist information and 3 baker's shops plus small supermarket. Bigger Super you just a couple of km away across the Loire. River not too far from site and village restaurants walkable. They are very nice and reasonably priced.
Loos and showers are well kept and also scented which is a bonus. Grassy pitches available but some a bit bare after hot spell. Overall an excellent site with friendly staff who speak English if you need that.

A lovely site, quiet when we were there but very friendly.
Swimming pool was clean, undercover pool heated, outside pool cooler.
We went for the cycling, great paths direct from the site.
Arrived without booking welcomed in excellent English by the owner.
Easy access to Samur or Angers so well sited.
17 euros for 2 adults caravan and electric, free pool, showers, and free wi fi so great value.
Walking distance to town with range of restaurants and local shops.
Will be returning when next in the Loire.
