If you want a peaceful site then this is the one to come to.
Hidden away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The toilets and showers were clean the camping field was clean and tidy was even mowed whilst we were there.
The boys were able to play football without bothering anyone.
The owner is very friendly and accommodating even at short notice.
The chickens and guinea fowl wondering free were an added bonus even the cockerel with its 6am wake up call didn't bother us, we just wanted somewhere to relax.
A short drive out to Stokesley for the shops for any supplies needed.
This site is a little gem just hidden away and an ideal location for anyone just wanting to get away and chill.

Arrived at the site eventually as driving into the village my sat nav insisted we turn left at the roundabout. Wrong camp site! should have carried straight on, lol. The site is small but it was quiet and well looked after, mainly statics which we parked in amongst by the clean and well maintained toilet block. Patrick the warden was extremely helpful and very friendly. The real bonus was the jet miners inn and its truly magnificent food and friendly staff. Looking forward to our next visit.

Nice little site just south of Stokesley.
It is mostly a residential static site and tents are squeezed in between the statics. However, there is an overspill field for tents if more tent space is needed. More on that field later.
There is one shower per gender but strangely there is no urinal in the gents! The showers are nice and you actually have somewhere to sit whilst you get changed and a shelf to put your towels and clothes on whilst you shower. There is even a corner unit in the shower itself to put your toiletries. I wish more campsites would provide us with this simple requirement!
There are wheelie bins on the site itself and recycling bins in the nearby pub car park.
Our pitch was nice and level and close to the toilet block.
Unfortunately, on the second night we stayed there, some rude people in a caravan pitched right next to us and made a point of manoevering their unit in such a way they deliberately blocked our sunlight. They gave us dirty looks whenever we walked past them. No idea why as we weren't even at our pitch when they arrived - odd folk!
The food in the Jet Miners Inn was lovely and not too pricey. I recommend their chicken parmo. Good choice of wine and a couple of nice draught ales were available. They also have a late licence for those wanting to make a night of it. The other two pubs are nice too. Wainstones does really nice food but the beer is dearer, whereas the Bay Horse has cheaper beer but dearer food. Swings and roundabouts I guess.
Anyway, back to the overspill field. It's a decent size but is shared with a couple of guinea fowl, some hens and a cockrel. The oockrel likes to start crowing at sunrise so make sure you take your ear plugs to block out the sound of him and the guinea fowl.
Overall a lovely site and for a fiver a night with access to showers and a choice of nice pubs, you can't go wrong.
