We loved camping in this site. Staff were very easy going and they were very helpful. It was just 10 - 15 minutes drive from Durdle Door beach.
Toilets and showers were generally clean. All the neighbours were respectful.
We did not know that we would need convertors to use electricity supply but staff members have provided us boiling water for our coffee each morning!
We were not bothered by it but this campsite is located quite close to a road. If you are expecting a sleep away from any noise, this is not the right camp site for you.

Had everything we needed, but thought the field needed some attention.
Field rather untidy, no real markers to identify where you should park, just yellow flags which didn’t resemble any sequence at all.
Everyone parked their own way. Some along side and some at right angles to us

We had a lovely time, even though campsite is very basic. Park isn't open however behind the site across a football field is another park.
One toilet/two showers. We were lucky it wasn't very busy and there was never really a queue; Pub does keep door open for toilets until late.
Roast dinner on the Sunday was worth the money! A few of the party had the large roast. No need unless you haven't eaten all day!
Probably could do with a little more attention to detail, bit of rubbish around, slow to clear tables in pub but we had a lovely time and would definitely go back. I am being very honest so people know what to expect!
We were a couple of miles from Lulworth cove/West Lulworth. Monkey World/Tank Museum/Weymouth are other places we visited and all within half an hour drive.

Looked forward to this weekend away after covird-19 lock down, arrived Friday 17th all looked ok on arrival told to park where we ever wanted to.
We were with family so we parked next to each other with no electric. Later that day a few tents started to arrive, a few people got extremely loud during friday evening but we thought ok we are all entitled to a good time, however at 3 am it was still going on!
Next day from lunch time onwards tent after tent arrived with no social distance rules stipulated on site around 10 Tents with large groups in each tent they all seemed to know each other all seemed to be from a Eastern European decent I’m not racist by the way and it was absolutely fine! My neighbours are polish and we get on very well
All was fine until it got to late evening and the noise and loud singing/talking and music started! Again. Around about 12. 30-1am on Sunday morning another camper went out and asked for them to stop and respect the other campers.
Sunday morning walked the dogs to find a young man in his 20s smoking some sort of fragrant roll up?.
In the football field next to the child’s play area He was from a tent on site also!
Not impressed At all!
No respect for young families or any other campers. No COVID-19 regulations on site!
Tent users urinating in the hedges in front of young children!
Dogs running off lead and pooing all over the site the owners not keeping a eye on free running dogs!
Would we return No way!
Plus the fast food van on site is disgusting that’s not cod?. No way Also very rude. Cushing and swearing about customers.
2/10 is a fair score unfortunately 😞
Would never ever return or recommend this site.
Thanks for the opportunity to review this site!

I found this campsite on this website. I was in France so emailed to see if there was any pitches available. I received an email to say that we could just turn up but that we would be booked in the diary anyway. I emailed back later in the day to as the cost and also if we could book a table in the restaurant. No reply was received after 2 chasing emails. On arrival we were not booked in the diary but luckily there was a pitch available. The pitches are in a field next to the pub. It is not very secure as it is used by dog walkers as a cut through for the park. The services are very poor. The rubbish area is filthy with rubbish and bottles and food all over the floor. They have a toilet and two showers at the back of the pub accessed via a gate. We found dog poo on the pathway to the showers that had not been cleaned away. There is rubbish on the floor, dead plant pots on their sides, not very inviting. The showers although nice and hot were dirty. The shower tray filled up as the plugs were bunged up so you are basically standing in everyone’s dirt. The toilet is dirty and the bin is filthy. Both the toilet and showers did not look as though they had been cleaned all the time we were there. Having said all that the pub is very nice and the staff very helpful. Good if staying overnight but not for a long period. Food is ok but not great as my husband was very ill after having the Thai curry which had burnt griddled chicken in it. It was certainly not worth £20 per night.

Looked for sites in this area at short notice for two nights. Either fully booked, too expensive or wanted minimum 3 nights. This site didn't respond to internet enquiries either from here or their own website so I rang them up and got an instant reply. To our pleasant surprise they had a slot free.
Minor cons: limited toilet facilities, no washing up area, WiFi in pub but not in field. £20 a night a bit expensive as we spent over £60 in the bar in addition. Proximity to the road was not a problem for us but it does get a bit busy from about 7:00 am.
In spite of the cons we would certainly use this site again.
So much room here one could probably turn up on spec if hookup not needed.

Yes, we visited in a tent in November! Thankfully we were smart enough to choose a site with a pub attached and this made a big difference.
After a wet and windy - and shortened - walk along the coast we arrived at the campsite by 4pm and went into the pub to check in. Ashley, the landlord, was very helpful. He advised the best spot to pitch in to get shelter from the wind. Encouraged us to park the car in front to give extra protection and not to worry if we got stuck as he could tow us out with his 4x4.
There was no need to worry, the grass field is in good shape and we pitched without issues and drive on/off without issue.
The toilet and shower block is attached to the back of the pub and is a typical country campsite block: Cobwebs in the upper corners but very clean around all the utilities. We never used the showers but they looked very clean and were free to use (no coins).
We then spent seven hours in the pub as we weren't keen to get into the tents too early. It is a lovely pub with a good choice of food along with real ales on draft, wine by the glass or bottle. Ashley was good company, chatty and friendly. He also unleashed the hounds later on; three chihuahua's that trotted around the pub.
We had bangers and mash (one veggie version, one regular) and enjoyed them very much. Perfect food at the end of a wet autumn day. We'd also had nachos earlier in the evening to share.
Having survived a windy night that thankfully had little/no rain and were away early the following morning.
The pub does have B&B rooms available and also Shepherd Huts in the field in case you want a little more comfort. They looked great.
The site is located by the side of the A352 and does have some traffic noise but nothing exceptional.
I would definitely stay here again when in the area and would recommend this site.

Great pub with very friendly owners.
We stayed here for 2 nights and were the only unit on the camp field. The field can easily take more than the 5 units and there is electric hook up to the road side. The shower and toilet block is through the pub garden and at the back of the pub and in need of a good clean but the facilities are useable.
On the plus side The pub food was delicious and the owners were very friendly and the camping units were a good price in a good location for lulworth cove and the tank museum.

We spent two nights here in Feb 2015. The pub has new owners who are very friendly and accommodating. This is a five unit certified location but, it could take more were the owners so inclined. Toilets available and two showers which were very clean. The pub also appears to do bed and breakfast as well as shepherds huts.
The pub is a traditional coaching house and is quite large. They sell Hall and Woodhouse ales as well as food. There is a good variety of meals available and whilst you could get particular about individual items, the food is good quality, looks all home made and the meat is local produce. As it should be and despite how busy it was on the Saturday night, we did not have to wait too long.
The only downside is the proximity to the road. The hookup points are by a line of trees that are next to the cark park whereas the field is quite large and it would be better for units to be at the other end away from the road. That said, it is only an issue for those with pop tops and the road is not that busy at night.
Good access for Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door and 10 minutes from Dorchester.
We will be back.
