From first contact with Geert he was helpful; we have a twin axle caravan and were struggling to find somewhere that could accommodate us.
On arrival Geert was friendly, helpful and made us feel welcome.
The site is nice, toilet & showers were clean, water was hot.
Geert always stopped and chatted and was happy to help with local knowledge.
Would definitely recommend Camping Grimbergen to anyone.

Stayed for two days. We left today and can say it was a lovely campsite.
Great facilities. Spotless clean toilets and shower area. Plenty of separate sink cubicles and shower cubicles for privacy and space for dressing.
Showers lovely and hot.
Great location for bus route straight into city. Nice and easy. Bus stop a minute walk.
Great carrafor shop a five minute walk with great fresh baked products salads fruits and Plenty of choice of essentials.

This is a very nice small campsite, well kept and spotlessly clean. It is very convenient for Brussels. The pitches vary in size and are allocated on arrival. We got a larger pitch as we have a longer caravan. Pitches are bounded by little hedges and some are in the shade of large trees. We had a 10A electric hookup. Good free wi-fi around reception, with a covered seating area. It is a very popular site with Motorhomes. There's no play area though some kids were riding their bikes/scooters around the site. It is in a semi-rural location with some bars/cafes within walking distance, and some nice cycle routes around Grimbergen.
We didn't take the bus to the city centre that goes from the end of the road as it takes 50 mins and is €3 each way. We drove into the centre of Brussels in 20 mins and paid €3 an hour for a multi-storey car park, which worked out cheaper for the 4 of us.
They do have some idiosyncrasies, eg they don't accept bookings for July and August, it's first come first served. You have to get there mid afternoon to be guaranteed a place, although for the three nights we were there in high season, there were still some places left at closing time. They only accept Cash, and you pay on departure. You have to deposit a document with reception (e. G Driving license or Passport) to be returned when you pay. We deposited my wife's driving license as she wasn't driving in Brussels.
The barrier to the campsite is only open when reception is open 08:30-11:30 and 14:00-21:30, otherwise you have to park outside. Not a problem for us as we could walk back to our caravan but could be an issue for motor-homers. There was some aircraft noise from the nearby Brussels Airport. For the 4 of us in a caravan in early August it was €38 a night.
If you can live with the idiosyncrasies, then its a great site to explore Brussels and beyond.

Super little site typically continental style with pitches surrounded by hedges and the whole site encompassed by trees. Although quite compact very much communal so essential everyone respects this which indeed they did. Site has a superb toilet block.
The town/village of Grimbergen 10min walk makes a change not to be out in the sticks!

This is a very pleasant smallish site at Grimbergen, home of the famous beer and 2km north of the Brussels Ring Road.
A bus departs hourly from Grimbergen to Brussels Noordstation, making it a good base if you want to explore the capital.
Grimbergen itself is a pleasant town. We used the site as an overnight stopover so didn't fully get to grips with what was available nearby, but it's an easy walk to a supermarket, bars, cafes and a nearby park.
The shower and toilet block is kept spotless. Toilet paper is available on a large roll on the end wall, rather than in the individual cubicles. The showers, like many in Germany, Belgium and Holland, are on a timer system and you get around five minutes.
The pitches are quite roomy with little hedges around them, so there's a feeling of privacy.
We found the price - 24 Euros a night inc electrical hookup - quite steep but understandable as the site is so near Brussels. I gather there are limited camping facilities in Brussels itself, and that the Grimbergen site is one of three sites on the outskirts of the capital.
You can order bread/croissants for the morning and again, at 1 Euro per croissant, these seemed expensive - but were delicious!
All in all, we really liked the site and would stay there again for longer.
