What a pleasure it was. Book at Backtrack camping. Helen was so helpful and could not do enough for me. I wanted to book it for my two boys and was worried that she would not like youngsters on the site, but she was absolutely wonderful about it, and the lads thought the site was amazing. They certainly want to go back.

We were lucky enough to have Backtrack camping recommended to us, and what a great place it is.
Having a young family, we really appreciated the balance of quiet, picturesque and private camping with the wonderful facilities and activities available to us.
The private site is set away from the owners' house and offers spectacular views across the valley.
The large canvas tent is erected on decking so was always dry and welcoming. The private cabin offers further shelter if needed and is well-stocked and very comfortable - great for cooking in and sitting down to a family meal.
The shower washroom was a real blessing, and is located as a private annexe to the owners building - a real camping treat!
The owners were very welcoming and helpful which made all the difference to us. Outdoor life has never been so relaxing and inviting! The activities on offer were really well organised and we were able to pick and choose how much or how little we wanted to do.
All in all, we shall return and make the most of this fantastic retreat, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

What can we say, this site is just the most unique and special place. Stayed with my partner and boys. We literally only needed our food an clothes that's it. The owner has thought of everything, I mean everything from comfortable sleeping in the spacious bell tent, open fire, where the boys cooked with the Dutch oven (provided) and I cooked in the field kitchen which was superbly kitted out, the bathroom is luxurious whilst camping this is unusual.
The owners are there if you need them but don't impose at all on you. I wanted to keep this place our secret and would go there every weekend if we could. When we returned home on the Sunday, usually after camping we are knackered but on this occasion we came home energised.
