If ever there was a perfect site for a family holiday then this would be a finalist. Bongerd is a children's park aimed at under 11's it has a lovely camp site attached. Located just north of the lovely town of Alkmaar - it is around a 4 hour drive from the chanel ports -- all motorways used are toll free.

The layout is ideal as you are asked when making a reservation (all staff speak english) your childens age's they then site you near to a playground aimed at them this meant I could watch my children with one eye whilst enjoying a good book and having some peace !

Site facilities include a choice of restaurants all of which we found to be very good on site. A useful shop with it's own bakery. We used Camping cheques and went just outside the dutch school holidays. This was very cost effective as a week came out at around £200

I have to mention the whole site is immaculate, the site is a a series of gardens which are very well kept allthe bathrooms are modern and cleaned it would seam night and day.
