Absolutely lovely site. Beautiful setting with great views. Lots to see & do in the area. Leyburn is a very pretty market town with plenty of shops & eateries.
Site is immaculate with fairly large fully serviced hardstandings & very well-maintained grass in between.
The owners, Dave & Ann couldn’t have been more helpful & gave us loads of information about the area, walks & places to visit.
Very good value @ £15 including electric.

Apart from a toilet block, this site has everything you need. From fully serviced, hard standing pitches and a welcome second to none from Dave and Anne. Great location close to Leyburn and central for touring round. Great views from the site. What more do you want ?

Peaceful quite well run site with helpful hosts who know the area well. Easy access to site with only the last 1/3 mile being on a minor road. Lots of interesting places to visit within a very short distance, but we were happy just to chill out and enjoy the view.
Looking forward to our next visit this one went to quickly.

The owners of Ellengarth CL were away for a few days when we telephoned for a two night stay commencing the following night. Dave talked us through directions and facilities and offered us a choice of pitch to suit ourselves in the Mh. We arrived and took pitch 6 at the end with beautiful views of fields (with cows). There was water and elec hook up, recycling area, bins and chemical disposal, and picnic bench. The pitches are generous with no. S 2, 4 and 6 hard standing. Ellengarth is situated in a quiet country lane but near enough to Leyburn and surrounding towns and Dales places of interest - a great base. We didn't notice a pub or shop nearby so you need to take provisions but a nice area to walk and cycle in.
It was very well cared for, clean and tidy. I left payment in the post box and Dave rang to say thanks and ask about our trip. Other guests were repeaters and told us how lovely the owners were and we agree.
We will definitely return there and recommend Ellengarth if you like a peaceful spot.

First visit to this site, but been to the area numerous times. First thing I would say is, this is the warmest welcome we've received anywhere, since we started using CL sites approx 5 years ago. Some nice touches here and can't believe that the owners haven't been caravanners themselves.
Although we know the area quite well, Dave kindly put us onto a couple of walks that we wouldn't have thought about, even down to providing a mini OS map of the relevant areas.
The layout of the site is well thought out and in a cracking location. It's a credit to the effort they've obviously put into this site and we'll certainly visit again.

This was our first visit to a CL and and our second attempt to book this site and I can honestly say it was well worth the wait. The owners are very friendly, helpful and unobtrusive. The site is very quiet as you would expect and there are plenty options to walk the dog. The chemical disposal area was very clean and well maintained. We would recommend this site and will return in the future.

Previous reviews say it all: friendly owners who really look after this lovely little site. Grass is regularly mown and they pick it up: they know we don't like walking it into the vans. A metalled track into the site and a couple of pitches have metalled wheel tracks: better than the whole bay being metalled which can give a car park look. The Elsan disposal is superb. Can't fault anything about this site, although not going long it is already immensely, and deservedly, popular. £11 a night inc electric.

We agree with all the comments in previous reviews. Everything is done to make visitors welcome - even to the thoughtful touch of providing antiseptic hand wash in the toilet disposal section! The owners have created a lovely site. We wish them every success. Beautiful location, quiet and peaceful. The distances mentioned above are not accurate - it's 2 miles into Leyburn and to the shops, restaurants etc, not 5 miles as stated. We heartily recommend this site.

What a gem of a find.
Excellent facilities amidst wonderful scenery. Perfectly situated for walking or just busing the Dales.
A warm welcome awaits you at this immaculately kept site. An information pack of ideas for things to do and/or visit. This site is so peaceful.
Excellent for local wildlife.
Leyburn is only about 2 miles south of the site where you can pretty much buy everything. A variety of supermarkets, pubs and restaurants (if you can't be bothered to cook). There's a bus service from Leyburn as well as a restored railway.
The owners are on hand if you need any suggestions or help in any way. The owner proudly presents iced cup cakes on arrival - now that really is a delicious warm welcome.
Definitely be back.
