It’s very hard to fault this site, especially if you have young children. Situated close to the German border it’s a large site, comprising touring pitches (for tents and caravans) and chalets.
The touring pitches are arranged in paddocks, each with its own play area (and there is a larger central play area too) Pitches are roomy and fairly level, comprising grass laid over sand – later in the season the grass can get a bit worn.
Sanitary facilities look brand new (2024) and are second to none – probably the best I have seen.
The site has all the domestic facilities you would expect; laundry, dishwashing sinks (and even dishwashers too !) Most pitches seem to be fully serviced with individual electric, water and drain.
Access is simple for towing outfits, and reception staff are very friendly and speak good English. The on site shop is very well stocked, and there is a restaurant, pool bar, and pizza takeaway.
Children of all ages will be happy with the indoor and outdoor pools, flumes and slides. For the more energetic you can hire cycles, pedal carts or canoes.
Winterswijk has shops, supermarkets, ice cream parlours, and bar/restaurants, and is about 10 mins by car or 30 mins by cycle. Aalten (which we preferred) is slightly smaller with some nice shops and bars/restaurants and only about 20 mins by bike.
If you want to venture further afield the Toverland theme park is well worth a visit – about 1h 40m by car.
The only slight criticism I can make is that the site has invested in a facial recognition system for entry to the pool areas which doesn't work. You need to download an App then upload photos for each guest; the access cameras are too high for the kids; and the recognition software basically didn’t work for the whole time we were there, so staff had to allow free access to anyone. They would have been better off sticking to wrist bands !
But that’s a tiny niggle and for me this site deserves a 10.

It's second or third time We have stayed at this site, there is a good swimming pool and restaurant, and well stocked shop. Motorhome pitches are reinforced grass and a good size, the toilet and shower facilities are dotted around the site and are kept spotless, the site accepts all units. If you are planning a visit to oberlinc the caravan and accessories store, it's about 10mins away, our visits are always off season, where acsi is used and making it a good value for money, never used IN season so can't comment on full price

Cant express enough just how good this site is. This year was our 2nd visit and still as good as we remembered. Very large site but not crowded, large pitches even on the smallest options, toilets and showers were the cleanest I've ever encountered. Swimming pools open 8am to 10pm every day. Go-carts, mini golf, canoeing, bike hire, close to lake, take away shop, and more.
It's about 4km into Winterswikj, which is also very nice and has lots going on. We plan a return visit - our 3rd, next year. Onsite supermarket was very reasonably priced, which meant it wasn't worth going to the supermarket. Actually we found everything approx half the price for the same item, if brought at a UK holiday resort.
