 The site must have been refurbished within the last year or so, so all facilities were clean with no problems.
The new shower/toilet block was large and pleasant. There were a couple of oddities - a row of sinks for washing up, but only one hot tap at the end. Why would you do that?? The chemical toilet disposal point didn't flush. Apparently I had to turn a lever that was 3 inches higher than I could reach up the wall to turn it on.
The owners/staff were friendly and helpful. Pitches were a decent size, separated mostly by hedges & bushes. You can walk from the site over the dunes to the beach without crossing a road. The beach itself was fairly quiet. Probably because the sand was coarse. Too gritty for making sand castles, but it was a lovely beach with splendid rocks and rockpools. You can walk into the town either by road, or along the coast.
There's a new swimming pool with 2 slides, and the water was warm enough for the children to spend hours in the pool.
The snack bar sold the most amazing pizzas, better than most I've bought in restaurant, with options ranging from plain to smoked salmon & cream, or tartiflette pizza.
