 With the last review done in 2015 thought I’d write an update though we only stayed overnight.
Warm welcome at reception and pitches were large and flat. The facilities are modern and kept meticulously clean.
The restaurant served very nice reasonably priced meals and there’s another option not far out of camp.

Location: About 3 miles South of Duga Resa on the banks of a lovely river. From the motorway be sure to take Exit 3. Your sat nav may recommend taking Exit 4. DO NOT follow this as you will end up on the equivalent of cart tracks. Exit 3 through Karlovach and Duga Resa is straight forward and the site is well signposted.
The site is quite large but when we were there at the beginning of April 2015 only a few pitches near the bar were open. These were perfectly fine, on grass and with a 16 amp power supply. Water taps seemed to be quite sparse within the main camping areas so you may have a walk on your hands. Even in early April the bar was open serving food and drinks. Whilst we were there it got quite busy at the weekend when locals use it as a meeting point. This wasn’t a problem but you might like to know. Reception have varies tourist information leaflets including a small booklet with local hiking trails. The staff are all very friendly and speak excellent English.
The facilities have been recently refitted and cleaned to a very high standard. Regular trains stop in the village and will take you directly to Zagreb or you can take the car which is about a 1 hour drive. Very nice, well managed and maintained site in a beautiful riverside location.
There is a small village shop a 5 min walk away selling daily essentials including bread.

What a gem this site is. Very friendly welcome, free wifi, toilet blocks very clean with good facilities and in a quiet, rural location. The restaurant and bar were very reasonably priced and the food was superb.
It is about 10 mins off of the A1 so convenient if travelling onto Zagreb or down to Southern Croatia or Istria. But equally great for a longer stay to chill out. As with so many Croatian campsites we understand that is is very busy in August.

As the previous review says, this is a little gem of a campsite, in Central Croatia 45 km SW of Zagreb. The pitches are level, grassy and a good size. Most have some shade, although there is a newer area which is rather open. The site is on the very pretty Mreznica River, which has many small waterfalls, islands, deep pools for swimming, and shallow rocky pools ideal for children. The water is clear and warm and full of fish. It’s a popular day-trip destination for locals, who have access to the campsite’s playground and restaurant.
There are two smart toilet blocks, one brand-new and one refurbished. Both have loo paper, soap and hand towels and are cleaned several times a day. Showers are locked and each camper is given their own key, presumably to stop the day-trippers using the facilities! The washing-up sinks have plenty of hot water and there are two washing machines which cost 30 kuna. There are numerous water-points all over the site.
The restaurant and bar are very pleasant, with a terrace overlooking the river. The food is good and prices very reasonable. A beer is 6 kuna, as is an ice-cream cone (about 70p. ) There’s no shop but bread can be ordered for breakfast from reception. There are a couple of supermarkets in Duga Resa, 4 km away.
Zagreb is close enough to visit for a day, but during our stay the weather was very hot so we spent all our time in or near the water! It’s a family-run site, very well-maintained, and the staff are friendly and speak English. It’s a welcome change from the huge, impersonal campsites on the coast. We arrived without booking on 18th August and there were several pitches available. Highly recommended.
