 A campsite on a waterpark, I mean, it doesn't get better than that! Usually.
Found by total accident as the site we'd planned on was totalled by the Danube floods. An almost brand new site, seriously in the middle of nowhere, adjacent to a new waterpark.
Nice flat grass pitches with little hedges and spotless, stainless steel type facilities. Even has a fire pit for your goulash evening. Small site attached doing the staples, lovely lady in there put our bubbly in her freezer every evening so we had super cold drinks.
Next door is a nice hotel, I think a Best Western? if you fancy a tidy meal, we went for drinks in the bar to watch the footy, really good prices for cocktails. One or two other pizzeria type places few mins walk away but that really is it, not that we needed anything. Seriously cheap food and drinks, a bottle of local cava/prosecco type wine was £3 and lovely.
Obviously the big draw is the aqua park and 'wellness centre' campers get reduced admission, went every day. Water park is the usual sort of thing but lovely and quiet, we found one with a sand floor and cocktails for 50p which became our local for the duration and they let us play boule there every evening.
There is also a bath, spa, massage place next door which is ridiculously cheap, full body massage about £5. Warm baths, sauna, jacuzzi etc, they also do the usual beauty treatments for next to nothing.
Town a bit nondescript but we found a decent enough supermarket to stock up, didn't really see any places to eat so can't recommend for a visit. But if you're in the area ( for some reason ) and want a swim or a soak this is the place.
