This is another of the sites that we wish we had had longer to stay but unfortunately we were pressed for time and only stayed for the single night.
No one on site spoke any English but after three weeks in Austria and Germany my 'schoolboy' German was well practised and was more than enough to sort things out.
It was off-season and mid-week so there were very few visitors around. Mainly other tourers.
The staff were extremely helpful and when my wife visited the reception desk for the wifi password they obliged immediately. My wife was well chuffed as she doesn't speak a word of German.
The sanitary facilities were either new or very recently refurbished as they were extremely clean. Not a cobweb in sight.
Access is a little tight as the bridge crossing the stream running along the site is single track and doesn't give room for error or manoeuvre in the event that another vehicle is trying to use it at the same time.
I have to admit that we neither ate nor drank at the café/bar as we had had a very long drive up from Vienna and were facing another long drive the following day. However, my wife was so struck by the site that she wants to visit it again next year - a rare commendation.

Picked randomly from Eurocamp independent site as wanted a site in the area for a few days with a pool. This was just a great little site. Although the pool was cold and we didn't bother in the end!
Few mins drive between 2 villages, really sleepy places, just a few houses, the school, a shop village that kind of thing. Think we found the only place in Germany without a bar - a rather unwanted miracle! Don't think this this means it's dullsville, it's a thriving little area, but on a very local scale. Great butchers for bbq supplies.
We ate on the site twice and drank there every night, as do lots of the locals. All food recommended, it was great and a good price. People there didn't speak much english and our german is not great but we got by, facilities were first rate and they have washers, kids play area, everything.
Main source of entertainment is having a little wander around the vans that are sited there by Munich city dwellers. There are so many awnings and add on's you struggle to see the original van, all tastefully done please, this is Bavaria. Our favourite had a sauna and beer garden, mind bending. These don't overpower the site, it still has a lovely atmosphere, don't worry!
