A WORD OF CAUTION – If you are planning to book online then there is a booking fee currently 185kn (£21) surreptitiously within the deposit.
A popular beachside campsite close to the small town of Stobrec. There’s public transport near the gate with regular bus services to Split (nos 25 & 60) and Omis (no 60}. Ask at reception where the shortcut is to the 60 service on the main road.
Sadly there was a lot of road noise in the evening/night from boy racers exercising their cars and motorbikes.
The facilities are kept very clean though some of the waste/recycling bins regularly overflow. The lack of a chemical disposal facility in the middle sited block means that it’s a stroll from some pitches.
Among other things the price reflects the facilities which is ok if there was access to them. The pool area is extremely busy and too small for the site meaning one has to be quick off the mark or extremely lucky to get a sun lounger. Perhaps the site should consider making them available as well as more shade on their privately owned beach?
The restaurant is nicely sited with reasonably priced meals though not some menu items are not always available. There are a number of alternatives a short flat walk along the prom towards Stobrec.
The camp shop is well stocked, reasonably priced and open long hours probably because there’s a large Ribola less than 5 minutes walk towards Stobrec.
The “free” wifi is poor.
The reception staff were generally friendly though when we did try and book and extra night we were told that it was not possible as someone (meaning their computer system) had booked the nothing special pitch, hence the lower score. When we tried with someone else the following day while we were told that the pitch had been booked they did change things around for us.

I very much enjoyed my albeit short time at this site. Right next to the coast with ample tree cover which was definitely welcome. The pitches for small tents like mine were decent - right up towards one corner of the site on a bit of a peninsula, which meant that the sea was on the majority of sides.
It was let down however by the slight lack of view and close proximity to the back of the toilet blocks (couldn't hear or smell much though which is a positive). The ground was hard and dusty which made it difficult to sink pegs into the ground in some cases - I made do with placing some rocks that lined the pitch where the pegs were needed (generally did the trick despite some high winds so in most other cases there's not much need to worry).
As for the facilities, they were good. Clean, good size, and good showers (though on a timer, but seemed to be long enough). There was also a restaurant on the site which although I did not use, looked like it was good value for money. A small convenience store was nearby which was very useful, as was the local Split bus service which was an easy and cheap 7 minute walk away.
Staff were friendly and helpful, as well as speaking generally good English if your Croatian is lacking.
There was a major road nearby but I was pitched almost as far away as possible from it so sound levels were minimal.
Overall I was very happy with my stay and would certainly recommend!

This is a really hard place to review for us as we have mixed feelings, I don't like being negative but there are a few with this site. There also lots of positives though.
The site is really easy to get to, literally just off a main road out of split, this however is one of the problems, road noise, we were in a motorhome but because of the heat obviously we had the windows open at night, the road is very busy all day and night and as it was so close to our pitch we were regularly woken by motorbikes, I would suggest if booking and taking a tent you ask for pitches that are further away from the road.
The site is a large site, with a mixture of static homes, tent and caravan pitches. Our pitch was nice, we could fit everything on, some of the pitches were quite close together but this is not uncommon on European campsites. Ours was fine. The toilet blocks were kept very clean, you get given a band for each person when you arrive which gives you three showers a day, you can also use the to pay for the washing machines, these weren't expensive and you can pay at the end of your stay.
The on site bar is good and the beach bar, the entertainment staff are really good too. We ate at the restaurant which was reasonably priced and good food, there are also various different types of eateries in Stobreč itself.
The reception staff are excellent, spoke good English, really friendly and couldn't do enough for you, they sorted out a hire car for us during our stay too. High praise for them, they worked hard and always seemed busy. There is little supermarket on site and a couple in the village a really short walk away.
We enjoyed the outdoor cinema night on beach the one night too.
The site was just opening a new pool complex while we were there but you had to pay for this which I thought was a bit of a cheek, it's not the cheapest site in Europe to stay at in the first place and usually pools are included in the pitch, I can understand for e spa but not for a swimming pool!. The beaches are lovely. One of the beaches has a huge inflatable water park, this is included in the Stobreč welcome information however it doesn't state you have to pay for this, I was quite surprised by this, the people running this are also some of the rudest people I've ever had to deal with, who clearly either didn't like their job or just hated dealing with people. It wasn't clear either that you had to pay for the water park and the people running it got quite aggressive when explaining this, I witnessed it on a number of times with all ages, nationalities etc so know it wasn't just a one off. This reflects badly on the site even though the water park is ran by a different company who hire the use of the beach of the campsite.
The site is handy for visiting split, krka national park, the beautiful town of Omis is about half an hour (well worth a visit). The only place we didn't get to which was over 2 hours away was Dubrovnik, we would also like to do some islands next time we visit Croatia.
It's an easy bus ride into split from right outside the site and lots of buses travel down the main road.
I probably would go back, not for a week as a stop off while passing through perhaps next time, I would just try and book a pitch as far away from the road as possible.

A large campsite, very well marked out, large pitches which are divided by neat hedges, shrubs & trees. Easy access Tarmac roads leading between rows. EHU & water by each pitch.
Direct access to shingle, well kept beach, mainly shallow water but plenty of opportunity to swim in deeper water around small bay. There is a concession boating company which operates a fun inflatable ride out into the bay. Weekends very much busier & quite noisy with locals & loud music from beach bar further around the beach, but other days very quiet. There is a dog friendly section to the left hand side of the beach.
The washroom facilities are excellent, modern, constantly cleaned & hot water. Showers are operated by a wristband which allows 3 timed showers per day (this includes a beach shower) Good washing up sinks, clothes washing area also washing machines. Large area for recycling everything, the most comprehensive recycling on a campsite I've seen!
The grounds, paths etc are very well maintained, swept everyday, giving a very good overall impression. Reception staff very helpful & all spoke good English.
There was some road noise, this could be avoided or minimalised by choosing a pitch furthest away from main road, more noticeable in rush hour.
There is a supermarket a short walk away & several restaurants, cafes etc in Stobrec.
The restaurant overlooking the sea is very picturesque with tables inside & out & an evening open air bar which has live entertainment.
No noticeable permanent sites which can make a site appear very 'tatty'.
Easy access into Split by bus. Worth noting dogs are not allowed on buses but the campsite runs a taxi service which does allow dogs.
Would highly recommend this site. A new swimming pool & health spa was being built ready in 2017, pool didn't look very large so it may not be available to all.

ACSI and Camping Chq
Location: This is a medium sized site situated in the village of Stobrec, about 4 miles from the centre of Split. The pitches are all marked by shrubs and trees and are generally very generous in size. We could have got our caravan, awning and two cars on to our pitch, in fact some pitches had two motorhomes on. There are smaller pitches and, of course, a few that accommodate the odd tree (fewer after the storm). The site faces directly onto the sea with its own stony beach. It is tidy and well maintained. At the time we were there it was undergoing some building work. Apparently it had been hit by a 200 mile an hour wind in early 2015 and they are having to rebuild the beach bar and take down a number of trees.
The sanitary facilities are of a high standard and kept very clean, with plenty of hot water. You are given a bracelet on arrival which you use to operate the barrier in and out of the site but also to operate the showers. You hold the bracelet up to a reader and then press the button for the shower cubicle you are in. You then get 7 minutes of hot water which was plenty. You could have up to 3 showers a day. This bracelet also operated the washing machine. You got it charged up at reception and then used it in the same way as the showers for the machines and driers.
The site has a restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining area. The outdoor being on a terrace overlooking the sea. The food was good and very reasonably priced. There are a number of other restaurants and bars in Stobrec just a short stroll away. The reception staff speak good English and are very helpful. There are two bus routes into Split running regularly.
Happy to recommend, well managed, well maintained and very clean facilities.

We loved this campsite.
Very clean, friendly staff, security staff were around (don't know why they were necessary as the atmosphere was lovely).
There was direct access to the sea - the water is very shallow. Not fabulous for adult swimming, but really great for kids.
The restaurant was great. We never normally eat out as there are 6 of us, but we ate in the restaurant every night as it was as cheap as cooking and was very nice.
We had a lovely big pitch. Plenty big enough for our 8m caravan and our big awning. We had lots of room left to eat outside, put the washing up etc etc.
The toilet blocks were great. Strange set up with the shower. You are allowed 3 showers a day - but only for 7 minutes each. Didn't find that a problem though.
There was always loo roll in the loos, the cleaners were there often and did a good job.
There was the opportunity to hire quad bikes and the like from the site if you wanted. There are lots of supermarkets nearby and a pharmacy round the corner. The only thing they didn't have was a pool, but you have access to the sea instead :)
Don't be put off by the appearance of the site from the outside. We nearly drove away as there was graffiti on the walls as you drive up to the entrance. However, I am very glad we didn't, as we had an amazing time.

This site is easy to find and large - when we arrived we where given a choice of pitches and unfortunately it had been raining very hard for a couple of days and we had to paddle to look at the pitches - the one we were given was not big enough for our motorhome and we noticed a couple of empty larger pitches so went back to reception to ask if they where free - alas the best had already been given out to people who had arrived after us ( Germans who get preference) but who had not booked - but we did get an alternative pitch - the site has good showers and you are issued with a wrist band and are allowed 3 showers each a day lasting 7 minutes they where good and hot. Good facilities, good supermarket and a bus trip into Split - which was the reason we stayed at this site - its too busy as its near a large city and for us we would not stay here again

This is a medium-sized campsite on its own sandy beach in the small seaside area of Stobrec just a few kilometres from the historic Old Town of Split. The pitches are large, level, on sandy ground in the shade of pine trees (although the ones right on the beach front don't have much shade. ) Pitches are numbered and divided by large stones and saplings.
There are three sanitary blocks which are bright, modern and clean, with loo seats and paper, and soap and paper towels for the washbasins. Showers are coin-operated and cost 20 kuna. At first we were a bit annoyed by this but it's only 20p, and for that you get 7 minutes of good hot (controllable) water, in roomy cubicles. As the site is open all year (unusual for Croatia) one of the blocks is fully enclosed and heated in winter. There is a launderette with 2 washers (36 ku) and 1 dryer. There are numerous water points around the site. Wifi is available throughout for a reasonable charge.
The large bar/restaurant is on a terrace overlooking the sea, and does a good range of reasonably-priced food. In high season there is a large beach bar but this was closed at the end of September. There's a good supermarket selling all the basics including fresh bread, and 2 other supermarkets within walking distance of the site.
The staff are friendly and there are plenty of them, busy keeping not just the loos but the paths, flowerbeds, beaches etc tidy. There are three beaches, but when we were there(late season) only one had sunbeds, pedaloes etc. The beaches are quite shingly but as soon as you get in the sea it's sandy, and shallow for quite a long way out, so very safe for children. There's no swimming-pool but you're never more than a few metres from the sea so it's no problem. There are a couple of children's playgrounds and an entertainment and activity programme in high season, including aquarobics in the sea.
Split is a lively port and an interesting and historic old town, full of Roman buildings which are still in use. We loved the area and the campsite.
