The campsite is probably best suited to groups or families with boisterous kids who can run around the large field. It’s way too loud for quiet campers. (At least it was on our trip) The amusement arcade and bar open till all hours meant lots of screaming children till late and adults talking into the night (after 3am) and loud music played very late.
The owners were sympathetic and did ask people to turn their music off after we asked at 10:30 but they didn’t always keep it off and the camp rules were generally not followed. I didn’t get much sleep. The individual plots are on the side of the big field so would hear the same noise.
The field is nice and flat and drained well in the wet and there’s plenty of space to pitch. The facilities were clean and the showers were hot. There are 3 unisex showers in individual cubicles which I thought wouldn’t be enough but people didn’t queue long if at all.
The washing up room was useful though the water was mostly cold. The field is so big that the far side is quite a walk from the facilities but there’s a tap at the far end which was useful. The owners were friendly and the campsite felt secure with gates that you need a code to enter.
Haxey is well located for Yorkshire Wildlife Park which is amazing. The village has a Coop. The campsite has a very long driveway so it’s far from the village road and has nice views of surrounding fields.
All in all, would be great for groups - just not for people looking for peace and quiet (at least not for the weekend in peak season).

Fan bloody tastic. Ace campsite, away from the main roads, has a small children's park including a tree swing, and a little fairy 🧚 garden.
On site toilets and showers,
A stage area with bar open on a Saturday night with pizzas, chips and burgers on sale too. A 10 inch near feast done in a pizza oven for a £5
Gabby and Jonny are new to this but are doing a fantastic job with it.
Absolutely fantastic

Excellent site, away from the main roads and quiet. And very cheap per person. 👍
Had an extremely warm welcome and was very surprised just how big this place is it would make an ideal Rally site. 🏍️🏍️🏍️
On a working farm with horses and foals, it's just lovely the rams there where head butting something I've only seen on the telly.
Toilets, pizza oven, a small eating area complete with bar. Very clean wide open fields, and short grass, fresh water on site. 👍
Had a lovely relaxing stay. 🥰
Going back next week in fact on the Sunday 23rd there's to be a classic car show and a tractor run.

Stayed here for one night travelling back to home. Site is large, very well maintained and the owners are very friendly and welcoming. Facilities are basic (loos, water and waste only) but if that's ok for you then I would very strongly recommend this site. Great for kids and peace and quiet !

Spent a weekend at Clampit Creek. The campsite is located down the end of a gravel track. The camping area is a large field that is flat and well maintained. There are toilets, which were regularly cleaned but no showers. There are swings and slides around the site and a swing hanging from a tree, this was great fun! There are chickens, ducks and ostriches on the site in pens, which are great to watch.
There is a stage area where the owners and campers gather & socialise. There are sometimes impromptu singing/jamming sessions that campers can join in. However, you can pitch well away from this area if you wish, as the field is so large.
Haxey has a small Co-op supermarket, two convenience shops and a couple of pubs. I think the pubs serve food but we didn't eat at them during our stay.
There are a lot of walks in the area including a disused railway track where you can walk to Epworth. Our dog tired himself out on these walks and snored very loudly at night!
I'd happily return to Clampit Creek, fantastic price of £5 a night for two adults and a dog.
