We got to the site to be told some pegs next to the pond and bar are reserved for family the caravans and tents are to close and a danger to fire risks
My awning was nearly touching the next caravan
The w/c are disgusting
If you go for a walk out of the site people drive like idiots in a 5mph zone.
The site has gone down hill since the last owners when they had the site it was a beautiful site used to be a nice quiet site and it's all gone out of hand.

Pleasantly situated campsite with a fishing lake, which made for an attractive outlook. Small but clean toilet & shower block.
We got a friendly welcome by the site owner and, during our stay (during the 2024 Euro football tournament), there was a bar, large screen television and bouncy castle for the children.
The site fees of £20 per night + £5 EHU were reasonable. We used the site as a base to visit the Yorkshire Wildlife Park (30 mins drive away) and enjoyed our stay.
We would return if we were in the area again.

This is a nice site with a good, clean shower block which has one shower for male and one for female. The showers are free and electric is included in the price. The pitches are level grass but there are a couple of 'hard' standings which consist of 2 lines of paving slabs for the van/motorhome wheels.
There is quite a busy railway line close by but the noise isn`t intrusive. There is a canal very close by with nice walks and there are a few pubs within a short walking distance.
There is a fishing lake on the site.

Just returned from a lovely long weekend and cant wait to return.
A medium sized grassy beautiful place with excellent fishing and a large area in the middle perfect for kids to play away from the water. Families with small children may need to keep an eye on them as the fishing lake does stretch the whole way around but still more than enough room I think.
Its extremely peaceful with the exception of the train line nearby but this didn't intrude and if anything added to the location.
Friendly owners who were on hand if you needed them but left you to it also.
Shower & toilet: only 1 of each per gender but immaculate everytime I went in and just like being in the shower at home with a powerful shower and proper cubicle.
Its easy to find but a narrow 1 lane road with a little hump which made me a bit nervous going in but all was fine.
Lovely walks by canal and over the track into Mexborough and a few pubs close by for a drink although we didn't try them this time.
Being only 15 mins away from home, I think this will become our favourite site for a quick getaway.

Fantastic Caravan site with excellent owners Phil & Dawn who work extremely hard to keep the site in good condition. A couple who are very friendly and will do everything to make your stay enjoyable.
Good Site, with walks along the canal into Mexborough or just 20 mins to Parkgate Retail World.
A pub 5 mins away for value meals.
Not living too far away my husband goes to the site without the van for the excellent fishing facilities.
We mainly go with a group of friends(The Magnets)
Excellent site which we have been visiting for a number of years now most months.
This is a totally relaxing site with very reasonable prices, clean shower block, great fishing and fantastic owners what more can you ask.
