 Ok naturist campsite about as far south as you can go in France which is why we went in May. Weather was reasonable low 20s & mostly sunny so ok with quite warm nights. Often windy though which is characteristic of Med coast.
It was really cheap 15€ pn on ACSI card including electric so good value. Really basic site. Only one sanitary block open in early season but ok & kept clean by the cheerful & friendly staff.
No pool on this site though. The pool is permanently closed & cannot be reopened due to structural faults. No real plans to build another at this stage. Site is on a lake near the Med sea. There is a naturist beach at Leucate about 6 miles away. The lake is popular for wind & kite surfing with direct access from site.
Pitches are stones & earth which is normal for this area. Site has plenty of mobile homes & permanently sited caravans. Good atmosphere with mostly German Dutch & French campers & everybody friendly.
So for us a good basic site very cheap early & late season & we will definitely be back at some point.

This was our second year visiting Le Clapotis and we had another great visit.
The campsite is relatively large, we have a tiny campervan and had a nice pitch surrounded by semi mature trees, the pitches have a nice degree of privacy. Toilet blocks are ample and clean with plenty of washing facilities.
The campsite is very well equipped, there is a restaurant where you can get meals and great pizzas. There is music either a DJ or a band, on a few nights of the week in season. Everyone goes to eat, drink and dance. There are also other regular activities organised (big chalkboard in the middle of the site that tells what is happening that day) from cycle rides, aquarobics and boules.
There is a well equipped shop for the usual essentials, you can also pre-order rotisserie chickens.
Nice pool, with a lifeguard and a very well equipped library for plenty to read. The site is just by an inlet on the med, which is a mecca for kitesurfers and windsurfers. You can swim and sunbathe on the little beach, but mostly people seem to do that at the pool and use the water for kitesurfing etc.
Friendly location, WiFi is available in most areas of the site, at a cost of 20e a week, the WiFi signal does vary in strength.
The city of Narbonne is about 15 minutes away for all of the shopping that you could want. Approx 40 minutes drive is the endless golden sands of Narbonne plage, with its hotels, tourist restaurants and shops.
All in all Le Clapotis is a great spot and one we will definitely return to.
