Beautiful site by the river,
Lovely clean toilets and great showers, and lots of space between pitches.
But the best thing was the owner Ashley and her family, they are so warm and welcoming.

Good location but poor infrastructure that is unable to cope with the numbers of people/pitches on a busy summer weekend.
Not enough toilets or showers and no hot water for washing up.
The river is “oversold” it is a rather muddy, slow moving river that certainly didn’t seem inviting for swimming, though seems to attract plenty of fishermen.
Am guessing the site would get pretty muddy in very wet weather.
There is also some aircraft noise.

The campsite is very well located directly on a river, and is next to the Downs Link.
You will need to take your own equipment to use the river, there are a few landing points, some of which are directly next to the tent pitches, if you have booked one of those.
Owners were excellent, very friendly and approachable.
There are a couple of toilets, which the owners keep very clean. A few showers also.
On a May bank holiday it was busy here, at max capacity according to the owner, and at peak times there was a queue for the toilets and showers, there was still a good amount of space around the pitches however.
Rated 8/10 for facilities, since more toilets would be good for busy days.
I rated 10/10 for child friendliness, that is for older children, for young children be aware the river is directly next to the camping areas, but you may be able to get a pitch a distance from the river.
Cost was very reasonable, and were able to add an additional person for a very small fee.
There is a small shop which is walkable via the Downs Link, about 10 min walk.
We didn't visit the Firebird Brewery, but I believe it should be walkable via the Downs Link in about 25 mins.
There was a stall on site on Sunday which sold bread, sausage rolls and a few fresh veg and other local produce.
Only problem we had was that we hired a fire pit for multiple nights, but were only provided firewood sufficient for the first night, which seemed odd. It would be been better to be provided wood for each night the fire pit has been hired for.

Love this site.
It’s pretty basic but oh so friendly with great off road walking straight from camp site, perfect for dogs.
Few electric hook ups, especially hard standing in winter, but the fields used are lovely with river running along the bottom of them.
I’ve stayed here twice and certainly plan to return when ever in the area

The owners were fun and friendly. I loved the location in terms of the area, but also being contained within the meanders of the River Arun. Loved the Carry on Camping toilet decor - inspired!
The driveways were a little rough with quite a few bits of glass around. Will take a little while to remove them. Could do with a few more WCs and showers as queues did form at busy times.
I braved the wild showers rather than the proper ones. That wakes you up!
Good honest very pretty site and great value for money. I would come back.

This was one of the best campsites ever.
If you are into enjoying nature, relaxing with like minded people around a campfire, then this is the place to be.
Lovely place, lovely people.

What a lovely site! Beautiful setting and very friendly site.
Owners lovely.
Facilities are basic but water is hot and they are clean.
There was a very pretty walk just over the road along the North Downslink to a very good cafe The Milk Churn.

A lovely tranquil site despite being under a Gatwick flight path.
The shower and toilet facilities were very basic but very clean and functional. There were queues at the weekend, but OK midweek. There was no hot water for washing up, which was a disappointment.
My camping buddy, a keen angler, enjoyed fishing the Arun, even though he didn't catch anything.
