We had a fab time at this well looked after campsite Tthe staff at reception were superb for our checking in and departure.
Very happy and cheerful staff. They accommodated our change of pitch and our extension of nights as we liked it so much.
Good location, cycling lanes/paths. A camp shop + spar supermarket nearby.
Also do not miss having a meal at the Oyster/, seafood shack on the nearby Quay.
Train station at La Hiume has trains to Arcachon and Bordeaux.
Will definitely stay there again.

Very good site with good access and turning for larger motorhomes or caravans. Individual pitches separated by hedges and lots of trees, 100m2+, completely flat. Tarmac road system throughout.
Didn't use site electric. No water on pitches. Good service point for motorhomes. Site shop but very little stock, possibly due to Covid.
Very secure site and no road noise at all. Bus and train service into Arcachon nearby or 5 miles by bicycle.
Bikes can go on train also. In early July paid 20eu per night.

This is quiet and well run site. It has good washing facilities all left clean and tidy. The staff have a little English so you get by with a little French.
The suite is under ten minutes walk fro the station with hourly trains to Arcachon and Bordeaux. The former is very handy for an morning/afternoon trip since parking in town is horrendous ( also see below regarding local beach) and the bars very inviting. They also run pretty late so you can make a full day of it in Bordeaux, eat and get back OK
Only complaint is that the sea goes out a long long way so whilst it is very shallow and safe fro children when the tide does come in you'll be waiting a long time. Atlantic resorts such as Biscarrosse Plage and La Dune Pilat are easy drives but traffic is heavy in August
Lastly there is Michelin star restaurant at the end of the road if you want to splash out

We used this site early in the season when it doubles as the aire. It is conveniently close to the Dune de Pilat.
The site is on the Bassin D'Archachon and there is a coastal path adjacent to and accessible from the site.
The reception staff were friendly and helpful with some English spoken. The reception has some provisions which is useful because though there are supermarkets in the area they're not close to the site.
The pitches are reasonably sized and although on grass were firm early in the season. Most pitches are hedged.
Finding the electric hook-up takes some detective work and an additional lead might be useful. There are water points scattered around the site but they don't have hose end fittings.
The amenities blocks are spacious and clean.
