We came here to visit our Godchildren who live in this beautiful village. This CS was our only option for accommodation BUT it is really nice.
In a little dell on the edge of the village, no views in the day but no light polution either so huge Cumbrian night skies. Very peaceful and nicely trimmed grass pitches.
Toilet and shower facilities were not open because of COVID but drinking water, washing up area and Elsan point were available.
I cant fully rate the facilities because of this, £20/night with no facilities is expensive but when the CS is fully open it’ll be reasonable vfm and we will come again.

We found this lovely little site on the edge of the pretty village of Morland in Cumbria's Eden Valley and very accessible from M6.
The site has new washing up area with good hot water, good shower and loo. Lovely view of the Pennines. Pretty upmarket for a reasonable price.
Village has cafe and pub in five minute walk.
We will definitely be back.

Site location is very nice, in a small field next to stream and on a quiet road. Walk to the village pub only a few minutes (we did not try the pub on this occasion).
Facilities are basic but adequate and clean although the shower was freezing cold when I used it. Instructions for getting to the site are slightly misleading and signage isn't obvious (name on house only) so we were not sure we were in the right location.
We did find some instructions on a notice board after we had parked up. We did not see the owners or anyone else during our overnight stay, payment was posted through letterbox as instructed.

Made a booking on our way up to Scotland from Essex. Freddie (owner) was away and told us how to make payment, but we paid a lady who worked for him when she came to check all was OK.
Arrived on site which was compact but more than enough room for those booked in and with good hookups. One toilet and good shower for touring, plenty of places to walk the dogs. Nice quiet site in a lovely village with lots to see.
In fact on our way back South two weeks later we booked in here again for an overnighter, contacted Freddie and he could not have been more helpful, and I must say in this day and age Trusting.
Good man good site, when I am up that way again would not use anywhere else. John

The facilities and site are great and we have stayed here on numerous occasions. We like the fact that we can walk to the mill yard cafe in the village and not have to drive anywhere. BUT this last weekend was horrendous.
Freddie has turned the Barn into a camping Barn and a group of young people celebrating a birthday kept us up til 5am on the Friday night and 3pm on the Saturday night. There was screaming, arguments outside and loud thumping music all night.
This has become a site unsuitable for Hideaway status with the camping and caravan club and we will in future find another site in this beautiful area to visit and/or break our journey up to Scotland.

This site is a hidden gem, after a very warm welcome we made our way into the village there is one pub and a lovely café with very nice homemade scones,
The meals looked great although we did not sample any, the pub was very good and friendly, the site had good showers and toilets and as we where the only ones on site did not have to wait,
The weather was very good witch made for a great few days,
Will be making another visit.
