What an amazing hidden gem of a site this is, used it for a base for visiting the Great Dorset Steam Fair which is a 5 minute car drive or 40 min walk across the fields.
Our host was Abi who was amazing, been a camper herself she knows what people want and her attention too detail was amazing. The toilets/showers were always immaculate and never lacking in anything.
She personally greeted everyone and showed you to your pitch and checked with every pitch each day that everything was ok without been intrusive but with a friendly smile and nothing too much trouble and even lent us an O/S map for walks.
The site is at the end of a lane, no traffic noise and just the hooting of the owls and the clear night sky to keep us entertained at night !
Abi also has yurts for hire which look amazing and you can even hire a Jacuzzi for outside the yurt for that special occasion.
All in all one of the best small none commercialized sites I have used in 30 years of camping all over the uk.

Having decided to store our caravan near Blandford but the site it is to be stored at being full so unable to make the most of the trip to bring it to storage, I saw Home Farm Campings details on UKCampsite. Initially I was a bit put off as it had no reviews and I also read that it hosts hen weekends in the glamping tents etc but the excellent reviews on TripAdvisor of its Tearooms swayed me so I rang and booked. On arrival we were told we could choose any free pitch and also reassured that when they are hosting a hen party they do not take other bookings from the public. They also were quite accommodating with regards departure time, so we were able to leave at 4pm the next day which was brilliant.
They only have a few tent/caravan touring pitches so there is plenty of space. They don't have electric but you can charge phones etc if needed. I did feel that maybe £20 per night with no electric is a bit on the pricey side but considering the flexible arrival/departure times and the facilities and being right next to the farm shop/tearoom its probably worth it. There are two showers and two toilets which were immaculate. The farm shop is on site so you are able to buy home made or locally sourced products. We had coffee and cake on arrival and it was all lovely, especially the warmed up gluten free Brownie - so nice that we bought more from the shop to eat after our bacon and egg sandwich brunch the next morning!
There isn't a playground but there are cows roaming in the adjoining field and a farm cat! If it had electric we would most certainly be happy to stay any duration or time of year but not having it is fine for shorter stays of a night or two. We intend to revisit very soon!
