 We have just spent a very pleasant week at this site. It is only a basic CS with electric hook-up but is level with hard-standings and very relaxing, John the warden is helpful but leaves you to do your own thing though he is there if you need assistance! There are 2 bus stops just outside the gate and you can go to Kirkham in one direction and Lytham & St Annes in the other direction. In Kirkham you can catch buses to either Blackpool or Preston.
Kirkham itself is a pleasant village with a Co-op, Spar, Butchers, Bakers, Newsagents, Post Office and a Fish & Chip Shop. A visit to the local Parish Church Graveyard is a worthwhile though sobering one, at the rear is a memorial to the Schoolchildren and Adults killed in 1944 when a Liberator bomber crashed on to the school. A Google search for 'Freckleton Air Disaster' will find you more information. We will be returning when we next wish to visit that part of the Fylde.
