A gorgeous view and serenely quiet, with excellent well drained grass surface.
The toilets were clean, water, cassette emptying point and grey water point.
The lady owner was charming and very starighforward.
It is a mile down to the Manifold Inn, which is a great pub, book in advance if you want to eat there.
The Manifold trail offers an excellent easy walk, 3 miles out to the cafe at the mill.

Great views, peaceful nights on a spotless site
Excellent Value for money, considering the current situation, the site has not increased its fees which is brilliant
Well situated for great walks and cycling
All information is put on the board
Will definitely be back as soon as we can as it was ideal for our needs
A gem I would rather keep secret

As a previous review says, "WOW" are the views from this site. Perched up on a hill side overlooking the Manifold Valley I doubt you would get tried of looking at them.
The site itself is laid to neatly cut short grass on a small slope so levelling blocks will be required. It has a total of 10 pitches available each with 16A EHU. Pitches 1-5 have the best views.
At the time of our visit (post COVID lock down) the toilets remained closed so I cannot comment on them.
Locally there are fresh eggs available from the farm itself. The nearest shop is in Hartington (about 3 miles away), and there are 2 pubs within walking distance. The Manifold Way cycle track/path starts at the bottom of the road, and access to the Tissington Trail is about 3 miles away.
There is a factory site next door but personally we did not hear anything from it.
If you are looking for a base for exploring the south of the Peak District then this is perfectly located.

Found it quite easily, sat nav was really accurate. Pulled onto site and first thing we saw was the view - wow! Rolling hills and beautiful vistas. Site has a toilet block which my husband said was clean and well laid out. The site is quite small, rectangular in shape with only one side boasting the views, we arrived a bit late and had to pitch up on the far side - still nice though even with a row of caravans in front of us. Had a farmers field adjacent which (we assumed) we could use to walk the dogs. However, the site can cater for at least 8 caravans and if the site had had been full, I think it would have been a bit of a squeeze with us all on and spoilt it. Also, be aware that it is next to an industrial/manufacturing site which when operational emits a low humming noise of machinery. Again - if you are on the side with the views, this might not be a prob but we weren't! At £10 a night though you cant complain and it is located wonderfully close to a lot of peak district attractions. Yes we would return.
