This is among my top 3 favourite campsites of all time.
Small, non-regimented, laid-back, allows camp-fires, the fanciest bathroom ever and at a very good price (£10 per night!)
What more can you ask for?
Admittedly, the one and only shower (albeit the daddy of all showers) and the two toilets (one of them in with the daddy of all showers) my not seem enough, but with only 7-10 pitches that's not so bad. We didn't have to queue much.
The little goats and chickens are cute, and the little fire pits around the place are great. Wood can be purchased reasonably from the shed(although on very dry conditions they may ban fires due to the farmers cornfields all around)
If you like a little more peace, I would recommend the second field past the boat (yes, you heard right - there is a boat - kids seem to love it)
At any rate - this is a top campsite. Not commercialised, but small and friendly, just as it should be!

This was second time we visited here. Lots of things for the kids to do. Very relaxing and peaceful. Enjoyed camp fire each night fire wood for small fee. Owners very helpful looked after dog so we could go to shop. Shower wonderful cleaned regulary. Hope to visit again this year and check out the fruit trees. Got a nice tan. Chairs and tables available. Bikes and scooters for kids all sizes. Kids loved to play in boat.

Lovely campsite and has a very relaxed feel. Lovely shower and toilet which is located in a refurbed old fashioned wagon and a separate toilet which is housed in Toms cabin. A handmade log cabin. There are goats and chicken roaming free and there are swings and toys for the children to have use off free of charge. Fire pits and chimneas are available to use which are also free and just a coule of £ for some logs. All in all a good thought out site with plenty of room between the pitches for privacy etc and better than average washing facilities.

A fabulous campsite which really has kids in mind.
We stayed four nights, during which time my kids fed the goats a lot, had numerous chats with Martin and Brenda (the owners) and Tom (a helpful friend), partially got over their fear of dogs and fought endlessly over the bikes that were there for their use! I loved the whole Miranda experience and my husband liked the campfire.
All in all, a brilliant experience except that (and I feel bad to mention it) it really is in the middle of the countryside so to get anywhere - the beach, Norwich, Thetford forest, we had to drive at least 3/4 hour - normally further. However, it is definitely worth a stay!

This has to be the best campsite we have stayed at. The owners have thought of everything. The Miranda shower and toilet is beautiful. There are toys and bikes for the children to play with, pygmy goats, chicks and even a boat next to a sand pit for kids to play in. The site is very quiet and secluded. Campfires are allowed and wood is provided for a small fee. There is plenty of room for each tent. I cant wait to go back in the school holidays!

I don’t normally feel compelled to review campsites but after visiting Buttercup Meadows last week I felt I just had to do a review.
Buttercup Meadows is a small, quiet campsite, really easy to find and, as the name suggests, is a meadow full of beautiful buttercups. In the middle of the campsite is an area which is home to Daisy and Buttercup, two very friendly pygmy goats and some baby chicks, which the campsite owners encourage the children to handle. It was lovely to see the goats being taken for a walk each day (its good for their feet) and the children helping the owners feed the chicks.
And then there’s Miss Amelia – a small boat, on which our boys happily played at being James Bond (!), the swings, the sandpit and lots of other toys, scooters, bikes etc - all there for everyone to use.
But the Pièce de résistance was by far …. Miranda – formally a shepherds hut which has been tastefully converted into a shower and toilet room, as good as any bathroom you would find in a 4 star hotel. It is just luxury in a field!
All in all Buttercup Meadows is a great campsite, in a great location, with great facilities and great owners.
