Penrose campsite near the lovely village of Much Wenlock did not disappoint.
The camping area is very tidy and well maintained. Gravel pitches and EHU are in good order as is the facilities for grey water disposal etc. Fresh water tap within easy reach of pitches too.
The toilet was sparkling clean as was the spacious walk in shower with lovely hot water. Oh by the way, the donkeys and pigs are adorable to watch!
The distant views from the pitches were stunning surrounded by beautiful peaceful countryside.
We chose this site particularly because there are no dogs or children allowed which can be difficult to find so this was a treat for us.
A wonderful little gem so thankyou Amanda and Mark.

A wonderful 5 pitch CL. 1 shower / toilet but immaculate.
Site is very secluded. The only noise being birdsong.
Owners are lovely.
We visited Ironbridge one day and chilled for the remainder.
Excellent.

A lovely peaceful and very well maintained site.
Friendly welcome, and a great location for the Shropshire Hills and Ironbridge.
Good price, with electric included.
Basic facilities, but exactly as described and more than adequate.
For most of our visit we had the site and facilities to ourselves, or shared with one other motorhome, so it was not busy!
However, as there are only 5 pitches, it would never get crowded.
Would certainly visit again.

What a wonderful certificated location. We stayed here for two nights this weekend and found the site with no problem, using a sat nav. We had booked over the phone, the night before and booked a pitch with electric for the two nights.
Although the grass was wet, after heavy rain the day before, the hard standing was dry and a good size for our VW campervan. The toilet block was a shed from the outside but it was beautifully fitted out with toilet, washbasin (cold water), and a large shower with lots of hot water. Everywhere was very clean and a pleasure to use. The owners were friendly and helpful people who had good recommendations and suggestions.
We booked the site as there was a pub nearby, however the closest pub in Longville was not serving food that night (a Friday)! Not very reliable apparently. Instead we cycled to the Royal Oak in Cardington, which served good food and was extremely pleasant. A nice ride back on the bikes helped reduce the calorie intake!
The Long Myndd is about 8 miles away, and the mountain biking was superb! Well worth a visit.

This site is lovely. It's small, quiet, peaceful, well-kept and has lovely views over Caer Caradoc. There is just one bathroom (loo and shower) but it's spacious and as it's a very small site, this was not a problem, even when the site was almost full. Plus the owners keep it sparklingly clean, which is much appreciated. The Longville pub is just half a mile away, and friendly but get there before 8pm if you want food. Try walking along the lanes to Cardington to visit the Royal Oak - a lovely old Shropshire pub with good food and beers.

This is a lovely little site, in open county side with easy access and well set out, spacious pitches. It is quite isolate, so very quite at night with lovely views of the surrounding hills during the day.
The facilities were kept spotless, and although there is only one toilet and one shower in the same room, this is not a problem as this is a true 5 pitch site, (not a 5 pitch for members and twenty pitches for anybody else site that some CL’s seem to be) so we never had to wait or cause other to do so.
The owners were very helpful and easy going and a joy to meet.
10/10. Would really recommend this site for those looking for peace and solitude.

What a gem of a site. Only a five site but in the middle of nowhere, but the pub is just down the road. Great owners, nothings too much trouble and the garden shed is a Tardis, open the door and you enter a wet room, spotlessly clean. Great for sky at night viewing, not too much light pollution. Very quiet, child friendly. Not to far to Much Wenlock and a great butchers. Great walking country and good for cycling or do what I do and just relax. Will be returning soon.
