A clean & tidy site, level pitches, water and EHC every other pitch.
Good toilets and showers also a restaurant.
Just off the motorway with a garage the other side of the road.

Olimpia is a great stopover. Fernando and Anna are lovely people, they do a great menu del dia from 6-7. 30pm for 10 Euros a head.
It's just off the main road so easy to back on to your route be it North or South. It's 240miles from Bilbao and less from Santander.
If you have a lunchtime arrival you will be there for dinner no problem. Bonus 10A hookup. We have stayed several times and have recommended it to friends.
It was -10 degrees when we stayed in January this year and the water was frozen in the morning.
Top tip, fill up before you go for dinner.

Very convenient (right beside a62), cheap, good toilet block,
Friendly welcome and nice bar.
Looks like a car park, however, and when we were there the grain silos beside the site were running until midnight!
Ideal to stop off.

Can΄t fault it for convenience, just off the Autovia. Nothing special but the pitches are fairly large and flat.
Very friendly owner. Quite windy when we arrived but as we had just driven 350km we were grateful for a warm welcome and somewhere to sleep.
Would use it again if travelling between Spain and Portugal.

You don't stop here to admire the surroundings (an industrial unit, garage and pylon) but for its convenience just off the Autovia A62 and for the warm welcome from the owner.
Having greeted you he will disappear into the kitchen to prepare a couple of delicious dishes for the evening meal in the restaurant. It's a short walk into the village, Pedrosillo el Ralo, but we've never found anything open on our overnight stays here.
If you come in winter be prepared for low overnight temperatures, there is no shelter from the wind and it was -5C in December. As the owner says 'It is always cold in Castillion'.
There is small patch of land at the end of the site for a quick dog walk, we didn't find any footpaths other than round the village.

All we wanted was a hassle-free stop over from Portugal into Northern Spain and it fitted the bill perfectly. I can best describe it as a Travel Lodge for campers!
With just 20 pitches, I did email the day before to check on availability and this was acknowledged promptly.
It is easy to find off the main Autovia, we were soon pitched on a flat, grassy (green too) plot, with water, electric, clean loos and showers close by. Would be handy for sightseeing in Salamanca too, I guess, but we had had our fill of cities.
We used the restaurant in the evening and had a respectable 3-course meal for 10 each, which came to 30 with a full bottle of red, coffee and water for the two of us.
We would definitely use the site again.

Just to the north of Salamanca, literally a few hundred yards off junction 225 on the A62/E80 motorway. Despite closeness to the road not too much noise as well sheltered by farm buildings.
There are 20 pitches, all hardstanding with ehu. Plenty of fresh water taps and chem disposal on site. There was a good toilet / shower block, well kept. A laundry is also available.
The site has a small bar and restaurant serving set dish of the day meals for 10 per head - we didn't eat there but others that did said good food and good value. Over the road is a garage which sells pretty much everything you could need including fresh daily bread.
You can catch a bus near the site into the city, it leaves each morning and returns at lunchtime and teatime for 1. 50 per head each way.
The site owners were very friendly and helpful and spoke good English.
Site is open all year so its a great stop off for those heading south for the winter sun. Would also be a good base for a few days to explore the area.
We paid 16 for 2 adults with ehu.
